2018 മുതല് 2021 വരെയുള്ള നാലുവര്ഷ കാലയളവിനിടെ ആഫ്രിക്കയില് 18 പുതിയ ഇന്ത്യന് ദൗത്യങ്ങള് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതിനു പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ. നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയുടെ അധ്യക്ഷതയില് ചേര്ന്ന കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രിസഭാ യോഗം അനുമതി നല്കി.
ബര്കിന ഫാസോ, കാമറൂണ്, കേപ് വെര്ദെ, ചാദ്, കോംഗോ റിപ്പബ്ലിക്, ജിബോട്ടി, ഇക്വറ്റോറിയല് ഗിനിയ, എരിത്രിയ, ഗിനിയ, ഗിനിയ ബിസ്സോ, ലൈബീരിയ, മൗറീഷ്യാന, റുവാണ്ട, സാവോ തോം ആന്ഡ് പ്രിന്സിപി, സിയറ ലിയോണ്, സോമാലിയ, സ്വാസിലാന്ഡ്, ടോഗോ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലായി 2018-2021 കാലയളവില് 18 ദൗത്യങ്ങള് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതോടെ ആഫ്രിക്കയിലുള്ള റസിഡന്റ് ഇന്ത്യന് ദൗത്യങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം 29ല്നിന്ന് 47 ആയി ഉയരും.
ഈ തീരുമാനം ആഫ്രിക്കന് വന്കരയില് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ നയതന്ത്രവ്യാപ്തി വര്ധിപ്പിക്കുകയും ആഫ്രിക്കന് രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളിലുള്ള ഇന്ത്യന് വംശജരുമായി ഇടപഴകാനുള്ള അവസരം വര്ധിക്കുന്നതിനു സാഹചര്യമൊരുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. ആഫ്രിക്കയുമായുള്ള സഹകരണവും ബന്ധവും മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുകയെന്ന കാഴ്ചപ്പാട് നടപ്പാക്കുന്നതില് ഒരു ചുവടുകൂടിയാണ് പുതിയ ദൗത്യങ്ങള് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam, observing that firm resolve and self-control are the powers that make even the most difficult paths easy. Shri Modi highlighted that today, our youth are continuously engaged in nation-building with this very resolve.
The Prime Minister posted on X:
"दृढ़ निश्चय और आत्म-संयम वह शक्ति है, जो कठिन से कठिन राह को भी आसान बना देती है। आज हमारे युवा साथी इसी संकल्प के साथ राष्ट्र निर्माण में निरंतर जुटे हुए हैं।
निश्चित्य यः प्रक्रमते
नान्तर्वसति कर्मणः।
अबन्ध्यकालो वश्यात्मा
स वै पण्डित उच्यते॥"
