PM Modi addressed the karyakartas at the BJP HQ following resounding victories in West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry, calling the moment historic, emotional and a powerful affirmation of trust in democracy and performance-driven governance. Dressed in traditional Bengali attire with a dhoti, the Prime Minister’s appearance reflected a deep cultural connect and symbolised the significance of Bengal’s landmark mandate.

Calling it a “day of trust”, the PM said the results reaffirm people’s faith in India’s democratic institutions, constitutional values and the politics of performance and stability. He expressed gratitude to voters across West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Keralam, while congratulating karyakartas for creating new electoral history.

He highlighted record voter turnout across states, especially noting the strong role of women voters in strengthening democracy. He credited election officials and security forces for ensuring peaceful and credible polls, stating that democracy in India is not just a system but part of the nation’s ethos.

Reflecting on governance, the PM deeply underlined that BJP’s growing presence across more than 20 states is driven by its commitment to “citizen first” governance.

On Bengal’s historic mandate, PM Modi invoked Syama Prasad Mookerjee and said the victory marks the fulfilment of a long-standing vision for a strong and prosperous Bengal. He described the result as the beginning of a new chapter where Bengal becomes free from fear and driven by development and trust. Reaffirming his commitment, he said BJP will prioritise women’s safety, youth employment, stopping migration and implementing schemes like Ayushman Bharat in the very first cabinet and reiterated strong action against infiltration.

He also made a strong appeal for political maturity in the state, urging all parties to rise above violence and embrace democratic values. Emphasising “badla nahi, badlav”, he called for a collective focus on Bengal’s development.

The PM highlighted how the results came at a time of global instability, yet India voted decisively for stability and growth. He spoke about the importance of eastern India in achieving the vision of a Viksit Bharat, referring to the historic strength of regions like Bengal, Bihar and Odisha as pillars of India’s prosperity.

Focusing on women empowerment, he said women voters have delivered a strong message against those opposing their rights, especially on reservation. He credited Nari Shakti as a key pillar of Viksit Bharat.

In a broader political message, PM Modi said the country is moving away from divisive politics and embracing development-driven governance. He criticised opposition parties for promoting division, while asserting that today’s India seeks progress, stability and unity.

He noted the decline of communist influence as a shift in public mindset and criticised the Congress for leaning towards rejected ideologies, stating that people now prefer unity, progress and performance-driven governance. He added that while Congress once dominated post-independence, it lost touch with India’s culture and aspirations. In contrast, the Bharatiya Janata Party is emerging as the preferred choice by aligning regional aspirations with national goals and expanding support across diverse sections of society.

Concluding his address, he said the victory is not just electoral but an introspection of people’s aspirations, trust and determination for a better future. He assured that BJP will work tirelessly to fulfil this mandate and build a fear-free, developed and inclusive India.
