પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ આજે (01 જૂન, 2018) સિંગાપોરની નાન્યાંગ પ્રૌદ્યોગિકી વિશ્વવિદ્યાલયની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી. તેમણે વિદ્યાર્થીઓ સાથેના વાર્તાલાય દરમિયાન વિદ્યાર્થીઓના પ્રશ્નોના જવાબ પણ આપ્યા હતા.

એશિયા 21મી સદીમાં કેવા પડકારોનો સામનો કરી રહ્યું છે તેવા એક સવાલના જવાબમાં પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે એવું અવાર-નવાર કહેવામાં આવે છે કે 21મી સદી એ એશિયાની સદી બની રહેશે. આપણે આપણા પોતાનામાં શ્રદ્ધા રાખીએ તે આવશ્યક છે અને હું માનું છું કે હવે આપણો વારો છે. તેમણે વધુમાં કહ્યું કે આપણે અવસર અનુસાર ઉપર ઉઠવુ જોઈએ અને નેતૃત્વ લેવુ જોઈએ.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ તેમની ચીનમાં રાષ્ટ્રપતિ જિનપિંગની મુલાકાતનો ઉલ્લેખ કરીને કહ્યું કે તેમણે મુલાકાત દરમિયાન રાષ્ટ્રપતિ જિનપિંગને એક દસ્તાવેજ આપીને જણાવ્યું હતં કે વિતેલાં 2000 વર્ષમાં વૈશ્વિક જીડીપીમાં ભારત અને ચીનની સંયુક્ત ભાગીદારી 1600 વર્ષ માટે 50 ટકાથી વધુ રહી છે. વધુમાં તેમણે કહ્યું કે આ ભાગીદારી મહદઅંશે કોઈ પણ જાતના સંઘર્ષ વગર પ્રાપ્ત થઇ છે. પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું કે આપણે કોઈ પણ સંઘર્ષ વગર કનેક્ટિવીટીને વેગ આપવા તરફ ધ્યાન વિશેષ ધ્યાન આપવું જોઈએ.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે સ્પેસ ટેકનોલોજી સુશાસનમાં મહત્વની ભૂમિકા ભજવી શકે તેમ છે. તે સામાન્ય માનવીના જીવનમાં વ્યાપક પરિવર્તન લાવી શકે તેમ છે. સ્પેસ ટેકનોલોજી આપણને આપણા વિકાસની માળખાગત સુવિધાઓના વિકાસનું યોગ્ય મેપીંગ કરવામાં સહાયક બની શકે છે અને તે દર્શાવે છે કે આપણને ક્યાં વધુ શાળાઓની, સારા રસ્તાઓની, હોસ્પિટલોની જરૂર છે.

પરંપરા અને વૈશ્વિકરણ વચ્ચે સમતુલા જાળવવા અંગેના એક પ્રશ્નનો જવાબ આપતાં પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે માનવજાત યુગોથી નવીનીકરણથી અને નીતિમત્તાના સહારે તેમજ માનવતાવાદી મૂલ્યોને કારણે પ્રગતિ કરી રહી છે. તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે ટેકનોલોજી માનવની સર્જનાત્મકતામાં ઉમેરો કરે છે. વિવિધ સોશિયલ મીડિયા મંચે કરોડો લોકોના અવાજને વ્યક્ત કરવાનો મોકો આપ્યો છે.

ચોથી ઔદ્યોગિક ક્રાંતિના સમયમાં સમાવેશી વિકાસ પ્રાપ્ત કરવા અંગેની વાત કરતાં પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે અવરોધનો અર્થ વિનાશ થતો નથી. તેમણે કહ્યું કે ટેકનોલોજી માણસને સશક્ત બનાવે છે અને ટેકનોલોજી આધારિત સમાજ અવરોધો તોડી શકે છે. ટેકનોલોજી પરવડે તેવી અને વાપરનાર સાથે મૈત્રીપૂર્ણ હોવી જોઈએ. તેમણે વધુમાં જણાવ્યું કે એક વખતે લોકો કોમ્પયુટર બાબતે આશંકિત હતા પણ કોમ્પ્યુટરોએ આપણાં જીવનમાં પરિવર્તન લાવવામાં મદદ કરી છે.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today shared a profound Sanskrit Subhashitam that underscores the timeless wisdom of focusing on the essence amid vast knowledge and limited time.

The sanskrit verse-
अनन्तशास्त्रं बहुलाश्च विद्याः अल्पश्च कालो बहुविघ्नता च।
यत्सारभूतं तदुपासनीयं हंसो यथा क्षीरमिवाम्बुमध्यात्॥

conveys that while there are innumerable scriptures and diverse branches of knowledge for attaining wisdom, human life is constrained by limited time and numerous obstacles. Therefore, one should emulate the swan, which is believed to separate milk from water, by discerning and grasping only the essence- the ultimate truth.

Shri Modi posted on X;
