Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi was accorded a bustling welcome by Barmer as he addressed an election rally in Rajasthan. He said, "Rajasthan represents valour and courage along with a resolve to enable a 'Viksit Bharat.'" He added that looking at the popular support, the people are determined for '4 June 400 Paar, Fir ek Baar Modi Sarkar.'

Speaking on the Congress Party's six-decade-long rule, PM Modi said, "The Congress has ruled for more than six decades but has not been able to resolve even a single issue comprehensively." He said, "The land of Rajasthan that has sacrificed so much for India has been deprived of water by the Congress party for decades." He added that our government prioritized drinking water for all through the 'Jal Jeevan Mission'.

Addressing Congress's narrow mindset on the rural development of India's border villages, PM Modi said, "Congress' mindset is against the rural development of border villages, and hence, all the border areas were deprived of their development under Congress rule." He added that our priority has been the development of border villages and enabling the last-mile saturation of development benefits to all.

Elaborating on tribal welfare, PM Modi said, "On one hand, the Congress ignored the Janjatiya community, and on the other hand, our government is devoted to their holistic empowerment." He added that initiatives like Eklavya Residential Schools and Mission to eliminate Sickle Cell Anemia have pioneered tribal development in Rajasthan. He said it was the BJP government's prerogative to ensure that India has a President from the Tribal community. He said, "The BJP's commitment is to empower the Janjatiya community in Rajasthan, including the Meghwal, Langha and Manganiar communities, among several others. He added that PM Vishwakarma Yojana and PM KISAN Yojana have been implemented to improve people's lives.

Highlighting the plight of the SC-ST-OBC under Congress regimes, PM Modi said, "Congress has discriminated with SC-ST-OBC for over 6 decades." He added that the Congress spreads rumours about India's vibrant constitutionalism. He said, "The Congress party that denied Babasaheb Ambedkar the Bharat Ratna and imposed the National Emergency, stifling the freedoms of Indian citizens should be the last one to speak on India's Constitution." He added that the Congress manifesto reeks of the ideals of the Muslim league. He remarked, "It is the same Congress that committed a blunder stating that India should give up its nuclear arsenal, despite knowing the nuclear threat posed by India's two neighbours." He said that the I.N.D.I alliance only aims to weaken India's territorial integrity and security.

Regarding the abrogation of Article 370, PM Modi said that the I.N.D.I alliance questions about the relationship Rajasthan has with Kashmir. Kashmir is an integral part of India, and every Rajasthani is proud. He remarked, "The same question about Rajasthan's relationship with Kashmir must be posed to 'Bhikharam Moond' & 'Babosa Ramdev Ji'. By questioning like this, the Congress Party only aims to divide India. He said, "Opposing the Pran-Pratishtha of Shri Ram and the CAA showcases Congress' tendency always to disrespect India's vibrant culture."

In conclusion, PM Modi said that Congress doesn't deserve a single vote for the sins they committed. He thanked the people of Barmer for coming out in support of BJP in such large numbers. He requested them to vote for the BJP to ensure the continuous development of India in envisioning a 'Viksit Bharat.'

June 17, 2026
First-Time Employees to Receive Incentive of up to ₹15,000
To encourage sustained job creation, Employers eligible for Incentive of up to ₹3,000 per Month per Additional Employee
PM-VBRY is designed to facilitate Job Creation, Formalisation of Employment and Expansion of Social Security Coverage
Scheme has already Facilitated Employment for 15 Lakh Beneficiaries Across the Country

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will disburse incentives worth around ₹2,400 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) at a special programme to be held on 19 June 2026 at 5 PM at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

The disbursal marks a significant milestone in the implementation of PM-VBRY, the Government of India’s flagship employment-linked incentive scheme aimed at accelerating job creation, promoting formalisation of employment, enhancing employability, and expanding social security coverage across sectors. The scheme has already supported the creation of 15 lakh employment opportunities across the country.

PM-VBRY is designed to encourage both workers and employers to participate in the formal economy. Under the scheme, first-time employees are eligible for an incentive of up to ₹15,000, providing crucial support as they enter the workforce. Employers generating additional employment are eligible for incentives of up to ₹3,000 per month per additional employee, thereby encouraging sustained job creation. Recognising the strategic importance of manufacturing in driving economic growth, employers in the manufacturing sector are eligible to receive incentives for a period of four years, while employers in all other sectors can avail incentives for two years.

The scheme reflects the Government’s commitment to fostering an enabling ecosystem for employment-led growth and ensuring that the benefits of India’s economic progress translate into quality formal employment opportunities for its youth.

PM-VBRY came into effect on 1 August 2025. With a total outlay of ₹99,446 crore, the scheme aims to incentivise the creation of more than 3.5 crore jobs over a two-year period. Of these, approximately 1.92 crore beneficiaries are expected to be first-time entrants into the workforce. By supporting both employees and employers, the scheme is playing a transformative role in expanding formal employment, strengthening social security coverage, and advancing the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
