প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি শনিবার দ্বারকার দ্বারকাধীশ মন্দিরেপ্রার্থনার মধ্য দিয়ে তাঁর দু’দিনের গুজরাট সফরের সূচনা করেন|
এরপর প্রধানমন্ত্রী ওখা ও বেয়ট দ্বারকার মধ্যে সংযোগকারী সেতু এবং অন্যান্যসড়ক উন্নয়ন প্রকল্পের শিলান্যাস করেন|
প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, তিনি দ্বারকায় নতুন শক্তি ও উদ্দীপনা লক্ষ্য করছেন| যেসেতুর শিলান্যাস হয়েছে, তা আমাদের প্রাচীন ঐতিহ্যের সঙ্গে পুনর্সংযোগের জন্যই| এরমধ্য দিয়ে পর্যটন শক্তিশালী হবে এবং তা কর্মসংস্থান তৈরি করবে বলে উল্লেখ করে তিনিবলেন, পর্যটনকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার মূল চাবিকাঠি হবে উন্নয়ন
কয়েক বছর আগেও বেয়ট দ্বারকার মানুষ যে পরিকাঠামোর অভাবে কঠিন সমস্যারমুখোমুখি হতেন, তার উল্লেখ করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী|
প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, পর্যটনের ক্ষেত্রে উন্নয়ন কখনও আলাদাভাবে হতে পারে না|তিনি বলেন, আমরা যদি গির অরণ্যে আরও বেশি করে পর্যটককে টেনে আনতে চাই, তাহলেআমাদেরকে এর কাছাকাছি দ্বারকার মত অন্যান্য জায়গাগুলোতেও পর্যটকদের আসার জন্য অনুপ্রাণিত করতে হবে|
প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, পরিকাঠামোর উন্নয়ন অর্থনৈতিক কর্মকাণ্ডকেও বৃদ্ধি করবেএবং সার্বিক উন্নয়নের পরিবেশ তৈরি করবে| তিনি বলেন, আমরা বন্দরের উন্নয়ন এবংবন্দর-নির্ভর উন্নয়ন চাই; এই ব্লু ইকনমি (সমুদ্র-নির্ভর অর্থনীতি) ভারতের আরওঅগ্রগতিতে সহায়তা করবে|
তিনি বলেন, ভারত সরকার মৎসজীবীদের উন্নয়নে বেশকিছু পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করেছে|কান্দলা বন্দরের উন্নয়নে সম্পদের ব্যবহার করায় এই বন্দরের নজিরবিহীন উন্নয়ন হয়েছে|আলং বন্দরকে এক নতুন জীবন দান করা হয়েছে এবং সেখানে কর্মরত শ্রমিকদের কল্যাণেবিভিন্ন পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে|
তিনি বলেন, সরকার সমুদ্র সুরক্ষা যন্ত্রপাতির আধুনিকীকরণ করছে| এর জন্য এইদেবভূমি দ্বারকায় একটি প্রতিষ্ঠান স্থাপিত হবে|
জি.এস.টি. পরিষদের বৈঠকে ঐকমত্যের ভিত্তিতে গৃহীত সিদ্ধান্তগুলো নিয়েআলোচনা করে প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, সরকারের ওপর যখন বিশ্বাস থাকে এবং যখন প্রকৃষ্টউদ্দেশ্য নিয়ে নীতি তৈরি হয়ে থাকে, তখন স্বাভাবিকভাবেই দেশের স্বার্থেই মানুষআমাদেরকে সমর্থন জানাবেন|
প্রধানমন্ত্রী জোর দিয়ে বলেন, সরকার মানুষের আশা-আকাঙ্ক্ষার পূরণ করতে চায়এবং দারিদ্র্যের বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই করতে চায়|
প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, ভারত এখন বিশ্বের মনোযোগ আকর্ষণ করেছে এবং মানুষ এখানেবিনিয়োগ করার জন্য আসছেন| তিনি বলেন, “আমি দেখছি যে ভারতের উন্নয়নে গুজরাটসক্রিয়ভাবে অবদান রাখছে এবং আমি সেজন্যে গুজরাট সরকারকে অভিনন্দন জানাই|”
