গুজরাটেসাবরমতী আশ্রমের শতবার্ষিকী উদযাপন অনুষ্ঠানে আজ যোগ দেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রীনরেন্দ্র মোদী। অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে তিনি বলেন, বিশ্ব আজ যে সমস্তচ্যালেঞ্জের সম্মুখীন, তার মোকাবিলা করার মতো শক্তি নিহিত রয়েছে মহাত্মা গান্ধীরচিন্তাদর্শের মধ্যে।
প্রধানমন্ত্রীবলেন, সমাজবদ্ধ জীব হিসেবে আমাদের সকলেরই উচিৎ ইতিহাসের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ রক্ষা করেচলা। শ্রীমদ্ রাজচন্দ্রজির সার্ধ শত জন্মবার্ষিকী প্রসঙ্গে এই মহাপুরুষের অবদানেরকথাও প্রসঙ্গত স্মরণ করেন তিনি। শ্রীমদ্ রাজচন্দ্রজির জীবন ও চিন্তাভাবনাকেঅবলম্বন করে আরও গবেষণার প্রয়োজন রয়েছে বলে উল্লেখ করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী।
স্বচ্ছতা,অর্থাৎ পরিচ্ছন্নতা রক্ষা প্রসঙ্গে শ্রী মোদী বলেন, পরিচ্ছন্নতার বিষয়টিকে আমাদেরউচিৎ একটি দৈনন্দিন অভ্যাস হিসেবে গ্রহণ করা। তাহলে সেটিই হবে ২০১৯ সালে মহাত্মাগান্ধীর সার্ধ শত জন্মবার্ষিকীতে আমাদের প্রকৃত শ্রদ্ধার্ঘ্য।
ভাষণদানকালে,বিশ্বের সমস্ত প্রান্তের নাগরিকদের সাবরমতী আশ্রম পরিদর্শনের আহ্বান জানানপ্রধানমন্ত্রী।
অনুষ্ঠানেতথাকথিত গো-রক্ষকদের কঠোর সমালোচনাও করেন শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী। তিনি বলেন, ভারত হলঅহিংসার এক পীঠস্থান। এদেশেই জন্মগ্রহণ করেছেন মহাত্মা গান্ধী।
গবাদি পশুকে রক্ষাকরার কথামহাত্মা গান্ধী এবং বিনোবা ভাবে-র মতো আর কেউই তত ভালোভাবে চিন্তাভাবনা করেননি। গো-রক্ষার কর্তব্য আমাদের অবশ্যই পালনকরতে হবে। তবে তার অর্থ এই নয় যে গো-ভক্তি বা গো-পুজনের নামে ব্যক্তি হত্যাকেসমর্থন জানাতে হবে। মহাত্মা গান্ধী নিজেও কখনও এই মত ও পথকে সমর্থন করতেন না। মনেরাখতে হবে, আমরা সকলেই বাস করি সমাজবদ্ধভাবে। সুতরাং, হিংসার কোন স্থান নেইসেখানে। এই দেশে কারোরই অধিকার নেই আইন নিজের হাতে তুলে নেওয়ার।
মহাত্মাগান্ধীর স্বপ্নের ভারত গড়ে তোলার লক্ষ্যে সকলকে একজোট হয়ে কাজ করার আহ্বান জানানপ্রধানমন্ত্রী। তিনি বলেন, এই কাজের জন্য আমাদের স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামীরাও গর্ববোধকরবেন।
