ప్రధాన మంత్రి శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోదీ ఈ రోజు గుజరాత్ లో సాబర్మతి ఆశ్రమం శత వార్షికోత్సవాలకు హాజరయ్యారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొన్న సభికులను ఉద్దేశించి ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ, మహాత్మ గాంధీ ఆలోచనలకు ప్రపంచం నేడు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న సవాళ్ళ నుండి ఉపశమనాన్ని కలుగజేసే శక్తి ఉందన్నారు. 

మన చరిత్రతో మమేకమై ఉండటం ఒక సమాజంగా అత్యంత అవసరమని ఆయన అన్నారు. శ్రీమద్ రాజ్ చంద్రజీ 150వ జయంతి ఉత్సవం గురించి గుర్తు చేస్తూ, ఆయన జీవితం పట్ల మరియు ఆయన ఆలోచనల సరళి పట్ల మరింత పరిశోధన జరగాలని ప్రధాన మంత్రి శ్రీ మోదీ పిలుపునిచ్చారు. 

పరిశుభ్రత గురించి ప్రస్తావిస్తూ, అది ఒక అలవాటుగా మారి తీరాలని శ్రీ మోదీ చెప్పారు. 2019 సంవత్సరంలో మహాత్మ గాంధీ 150వ జయంతికి ఇదే చక్కటి నివాళి కాగలదని ఆయన అన్నారు. 

సాబర్మతి ఆశ్రమాన్ని చూడవలసిందంటూ, ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న ప్రజలందరికీ ఆయన విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. 

గోవుల పహరా అంశంపై ప్రధాన మంత్రి ఒక శక్తివంతమైన ప్రకటనను చేశారు. “మనది అహింసాయుతమైనటువంటి దేశం. మహాత్మా గాంధీ పుట్టిన గడ్డ ఇది. మహాత్మా గాంధీ మరియు ఆచార్య వినోబా బావే ల కన్నా మిన్నగా గో సంరక్ష‌ణను గురించి మాట్లాడినవారు ఎవ్వరూ లేరు. అవును, దీనిని ఖచ్చితంగా పాటించాలి.” 

అయితే, గోమాత భక్తి పేరిట అమాయకుల ప్రాణాలు హరించడం ఎంత మాత్రం ఆమోద యోగ్యం కాదంటూ, ఆయన గట్టిగా ఉద్ఘాటించారు. దీనిని మహాత్మా గాంధీ సమర్థించేవారు కాదు అని ఆయన అన్నారు. సమాజంలో హింసకు చోటు లేదని, ఈ దేశంలో చట్టాన్ని తమ చేతులలోకి తీసుకొనే హక్కు ఎవరికీ లేదని కూడా ఆయన వివరించారు. 

మహాత్మా గాంధీ కలలు గన్న భారతదేశాన్ని ఆవిష్కరించడం కోసం ప్రజలు అందరూ కలసికట్టుగా కృషి చేయాలని ప్రధాన మంత్రి కోరారు. మన స్వాంతంత్య్ర సమరయోధులు గర్వించే విధంగా మనం భారతదేశాన్ని తీర్చిదిద్దాలని తెలిపారు.

Members of the Governing Body of Shri Ram College of Commerce meets the Prime Minister

A delegation comprising members of the Governing Body of Shri Ram College of Commerce, met the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today. Shri Modi noted that this year marks the centenary of the institution, a significant milestone in its illustrious journey of academic excellence and nation-building. He lauded the college’s long-standing contribution to higher education and its role in nurturing generations of leaders across diverse fields.

On the occasion, a commemorative stamp marking the centenary year of Shri Ram College of Commerce was also released.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

"Met a delegation consisting of the Governing Body of the Shri Ram College of Commerce, one of India’s most reputed educational institutions. This year, we are marking the centenary of this institution. A commemorative stamp was released too. My best wishes to this institution."
