Hon'ble CM begins fast with his mother’s blessings

Ahmedabad: Saturday: Like every year Chief Minister Mr Narendra Modi today went to his mother to seek her blessings on his 62nd birthday, before beginning his 3-day fast.

Mr Modi went to his mother Hiraba, 92, seven in the morning. Hiraba is living a simple life with Mr Modi’s young brother Pankaj Modi who stays in a two room-kitchen government residence. Hiraba, with her natural motherly love, gave blessings to Mr Modi and gave him Tulsidasa’s version of Shri Ramcharit Manas.

PM greets public representatives across the country on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Day

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the the essence of people’s representative:

“प्रजासुखे सुखं राज्ञः प्रजानां च हिते हितम्।

नात्मप्रियं प्रियं राज्ञः प्रजानां तु प्रियं प्रियम्॥"

The Subhashitam conveys, "The happiness of the people’s representative lies in the happiness of the people; his welfare lies in the welfare of the people. People’s representative has no personal favourites. Whatever is dear to the people is what is dear to him."

Shri Modi also greeted public representatives across the country on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Day,today. "Your dedication to public service and service to the nation is truly inspiring for everyone" Shri Modi remarked.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

“पंचायती राज दिवस के अवसर पर देशभर के जनप्रतिनिधियों का हार्दिक अभिनंदन! जनसेवा के साथ राष्ट्रसेवा के प्रति आप सभी का समर्पण हर किसी को प्रेरित करने वाला है।
