Leading the BJP charge, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed two mega election rallies in Jharkhand’s Daltonganj and Gumla today. Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said, “Under the leadership of BJP, it is very important for Jharkhand that a strong and stable government is formed here.”

At the public meeting, PM Modi remarked, “Jharkhand, especially Palamu, has always been a strong fortress for BJP. If lotus is blooming across the country today, it's due to the blessings of the people here & the party workers. The people here have always stood by 'kamal'.”

Speaking on Naxalism, PM Modi said that BJP had made an effort to free Jharkhand off naxals and created a peaceful environment in Jharkhand. He said, “Naxalism was an issue due to political instability here. Governments used to get toppled here, they didn't want to serve people but simply enjoy the power...How could there have been proper roads, industries & electricity, given the situation which was here.”

PM Modi also highlighted the NDA Government’s initiatives like the Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana aimed at transforming lives of people in Jharkhand. PM Modi said, “Due to the sincere efforts of the BJP government, roads are reaching every village of Jharkhand today. Electricity is reaching every village.”

“The BJP's resolve is to connect every household in the country with water by 2024. Just as the work of building toilets in every household has been successfully completed, it is water to every household. Our tribal society is going to get a huge advantage of this mission,” he added furthermore.

Addressing the huge gathering in Gumla, PM Modi said, “On the one hand, the BJP government in the state is busy in transforming Jharkhand, while the Congress and JMM people are busy in tarnishing the image of Jharkhand. We want investment to come here, new employment opportunities should be made here, the youth here do not have to go out, but the Congress and its allies are busy in defaming Jharkhand.”

Stepping up his attack on the Congress and its allies, PM Modi slammed the statements made by Congress leaders against the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the BJP had promised a solution for Article 370 and the party had fulfilled its promise.

In a strong attack against Congress, PM Modi asserted that the matter of dispute over the birthplace of Lord Ram was stalled by Congress. “Had they wanted, a solution could have been found much earlier. But they did not do that, they cared about their vote bank. Such thinking of Congress affected the country,” he said.

Also, PM Modi congratulated Raghubar Das-led government for completing its five-year term, a first in Jharkhand since it attained statehood. "The BJP govt has provided good governance in Jharkhand over the past five years. That is why, for the first time in the state's history, a chief minister completed his five-year term," he added.

PM Modi urged voters in Jharkhand to reelect his Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming assembly elections as he promised to take the state to the path of development. Several BJP leaders and karyakartas were present in the event.
