World Marks Fourth International Day of Yoga with Immense Enthusiasm

The fourth International Day of Yoga was marked world over with immense enthusiasm. Yoga training camps, sessions and seminars were held in large numbers throughout the globe to further the reach of yoga and educate people about benefits of making yoga a part of daily routine.

The headquarters of United Nations was illuminated to mark the day.

Welcoming the rays of the Sun, people rolled out their yoga mats and performed various asanas. Here are glimpses from Yoga Day celebrations across the world:

Prime Minister condoles loss of lives due to mishap on Yamuna Expressway in Mathura

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives due to a mishap on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. Shri Modi also wished speedy recovery for those injured in the mishap.

The Prime Minister announced that an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000.

The Prime Minister’s Office posted on X;

“The loss of lives due to a mishap on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, is extremely painful. My thoughts are with those who have lost their loved ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured.
