Every booth is the heartbeat of democracy: PM Modi called upon Bihar’s youth to lead

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with spirited Yuva Karyakartas from Bihar under the “Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot – Yuva Samvaad” initiative, blending inspiration with realism as he urged the youth to be the torchbearers of a Viksit Bharat.

Opening the session, PM Modi spoke of how GST reforms, such as reduced tax on bikes and scooters, have directly benefited young citizens. Emphasising the power of democracy, he reminded that “when the youth lead, the nation moves forward.”

The dialogue featured inspiring exchanges with young voices from across the state. Fellow young karyakartas highlighted how corruption-free access to seeds and fertilisers and the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi have transformed rural life. Recalling Bihar’s dark “Jungle Raj” days, PM Modi urged youth to hear firsthand from elders how lawlessness once ruled, so they value today’s peace and progress.

Discussing Bihar’s journey of transformation, PM Modi lauded the double-engine government for revolutionising roads, bridges and digital connectivity, turning 1.5-day journeys into a few hours’ drive. He encouraged organising a “Run for Unity” on Sardar Patel Jayanti, symbolising strength in togetherness.

In an uplifting interaction, one karyakarta also recited poem “Modi ji hai to mumkin hai.” Her stories of empowered women benefitting from Ayushman Bharat and Mahila Rozgar Yojana drew praise from the PM, who called women “the true architects of New Bihar.” His message to all was simple yet powerful - “Pehle Matdaan, Phir Jalpaan.”

A young karyakarta from Bhagalpur spoke about the transformation from corruption and fake job scams to transparent governance and digital growth. PM Modi humorously described the previous regime as a “lathbandhan,” not a gathbandhan, highlighting the chaos that once defined Bihar’s politics.

The PM commended young leaders, who shared how every home now has electricity, digital access, and direct benefit transfers. PM Modi added, “Lanterns belong to the past, today, light exposes the thieves!”
In his closing remarks, PM Modi urged youth to strengthen every booth, reach every voter, and showcase the impact of government schemes through personal connection. “Every booth is the heartbeat of democracy,” he said, calling upon Bihar’s youth to lead with discipline, service and digital savvy.

Concluding the Yuva Samvaad, PM Modi reaffirmed that Bihar’s youth are not just the beneficiaries of change, they are its creators.
“When every booth becomes strong,” he said, “Bharat becomes unstoppable.”
