Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taken aback by the love and admiration from the jubilant crowd in Nawada, Bihar as he addresses them ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections, 2024. The PM reciprocated his affection towards the crowd and discussed several key issues in his speech. “I said this from the ramparts of Red Fort that this is the right time. India's time has come. We should not lose this opportunity and hence this election of 2024 has become very important,” remarked the PM.

PM Modi initiated his address by expressing his gratitude for the love and blessings he has received from Nawada, considering himself a fortunate one. PM Modi expressed, “The heights the country has touched in the last 10 years, the development work that has been done in the country, and its reflection are visible in the huge public support that NDA is getting. That is why today the whole country is saying – Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkar!”

PM Modi asserted with hope that “In the past decade, Bihar has witnessed significant national-interest decisions. Today, modern expressways are being constructed in Bihar, railway stations are being modernized, and trains like Vande Bharat are increasing. The digital revolution has brought government services to mobile devices. India's influence is expanding globally. I am confident Bihar will contribute to India's journey towards development.”

The PM confided his thoughts to the crowd and conveyed that, “Modi is engaged in the mission to eliminate poverty from the country. Like you, I have come here after living in poverty. I can never forget what was the situation in the country before 2014.”

PM Modi also added, “Modi, the son of the poor, is dedicated to serving the impoverished. I vow to eradicate poverty nationwide. The past decade has seen unprecedented efforts for the welfare of the poor, surpassing six decades post-independence. 25 crores people have been uplifted from poverty in this time.” The PM yet again reiterated that “this is just the beginning, this is just a trailer, with much more yet to accomplish. We have to take the country and Bihar to new heights.”

PM Modi enlightened the crowd with BJP’s vision that includes, “More guarantees from Modi which are forthcoming in the third term. Modi promises to uplift three crore village sisters to become 'Lakhpati Didis'. Another assurance is to empower women from rural and poor families to become drone pilots. Additionally, Modi has initiated the 'PM Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana' to eliminate electricity bills for the underprivileged.”

The PM taking a jibe at the opposition, said, “The INDI Alliance lacks vision and credibility, with members who contradict each other in different states. In Bihar, conflict arises as one leader claims candidacy over another from the same alliance. Their unity appears forced, driven solely by a selfish desire for power. Critics label the INDI Alliance as a sanctuary for corruption.” Also, PM Modi jabbed at a leader of the INDI Alliance who remained sulking at home until he is declared the candidate for the Prime Minister.

PM Modi exposed the harsh realities of the opposition and affirmed that “Those advocating for the country's division, supporting corruption, or threatening Sanatan Dharma's existence - can Bihar forgive them? Congress-RJD, addicted to power and corruption, are undeserving of even a single vote.”

In his concluding remarks, PM Modi expressed profound appreciation to all attendees for their participation, underscoring their contribution to the event's success. He reaffirmed his dedication to realizing the dreams of the common citizen, pledging that their aspirations remain his foremost priority. Encouraging the audience, he emphasized every vote cast on Lotus symbol on 19th April will strengthen the resolve for a developed India.

Campaigning for the upcoming Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive public gathering in Gogamukh, marking his first rally in Assam after the announcement of polls. The event witnessed an overwhelming turnout, with enthusiastic participation from youth, women and local communities, signaling strong momentum for the BJP-led NDA.

Opening his address with high energy, the Prime Minister said, “This is my first public meeting after the announcement of elections in Assam. The sea of people in front of me, the enthusiasm of the youth and the blessings of our mothers and sisters clearly show this time, a hat-trick is certain.” Echoing popular sentiment, he added, “Everyone is saying- ‘Aakou Ebaar… NDA Shorkar!’”

Invoking the spiritual and cultural heritage of Assam, PM Modi remarked, “I am fortunate to begin this campaign with the blessings of Lord Shiva at Ghughuli Dol and Donyi-Polo. I bow to Srimanta Sankardev and pay tribute to great sons of Assam like Lachit Borphukan and Bharat Ratna Bhupen Hazarika.”

Highlighting the development trajectory under BJP governments, PM Modi said, “Under the leadership of Sarbananda Sonowal and now Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam has witnessed a new era of service and good governance over the past decade.” He emphasized that the election is not just about forming a government but about building a ‘Viksit Assam for a Viksit Bharat.’

Referring to the BJP’s recently released manifesto, he noted, “This ‘Sankalp Patra’ is truly a ‘Mangal Patra’- it brings prosperity for Assam. It lays out a clear roadmap for jobs, self-employment and ₹5 lakh crore investment in infrastructure.”

On women empowerment, he said, “Through the Lakhpati Didi initiative, nearly 3 lakh women in Assam have already become financially independent. Now, we aim to empower 40 lakh women.”

Emphasizing farmers’ welfare, PM Modi said that over ₹7,500 crore has been transferred to 20 lakh farmers under PM-KISAN. He added, “Small farmers will now receive an additional ₹11,000 annually. Our government is also committed to permanent solutions for Assam’s flood problem.”

Contrasting past and present, the PM reiterated, “The youth of today have only seen BJP’s governance. They have not witnessed the dark days of Congress rule when Assam was known for violence, curfews and unrest.”

He added that Assam is now defined by development, citing examples such as refinery expansion, bamboo-based bio-refinery projects, and upcoming semiconductor manufacturing. “Soon, Assam will be known not just for tea, but also for chips. ‘Chai bhi, Chip bhi’-this is our roadmap for a Viksit Assam.”

Targeting the opposition, PM Modi said, “For Congress, power and family come first. They ignored Assam’s development for decades.” He also warned against divisive politics, alleging that Congress is attempting to revive policies of appeasement.

Coming down heavily on Congress, PM Modi said, “The people of Assam have freed the state from Congress’s misgovernance, but must remain vigilant as the party is now attempting to push a ‘dangerous agenda’ for political gain.” He recalled that before 2014, the Congress-led government had tried to introduce a divisive communal violence law aimed at appeasement, which was stopped by the BJP-NDA. He alleged that Congress is once again proposing a similar approach in Assam, exposing its intent to divide society for votes.

The Prime Minister further accused Congress of supporting infiltration and previously allowing illegal encroachments on farmers’ and tribal lands. He asserted that while the BJP-NDA government is taking strict action against such encroachments, Congress is opposing these efforts. Warning that Congress seeks to alter Assam’s demographic balance, he assured that the BJP-NDA government will continue to protect the land, rights and identity of Assam’s people, calling it ‘Modi’s guarantee.’

Highlighting infrastructure growth, the PM pointed out that while only three bridges were built over the Brahmaputra in decades of Congress rule, the BJP government has completed five major bridges in just over a decade, with more underway.

Reaffirming commitment to tribal welfare, PM Modi said, “Our mantra is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. Those left behind will be brought forward.” He highlighted initiatives for the Missing community, including education in native language and youth employment programs.

Concluding his address, PM Modi urged voters to ensure a record turnout. “On April 9, all voting records must be broken. Every BJP-NDA candidate is a soldier of Assam’s development. Make them victorious.” He ended with a strong assurance: “You form the BJP government again and Assam will progress at an even faster pace. This is Modi’s guarantee.”
