PM Narendra Modi visits Seema Malaka Temple in Colombo, Sri Lanka

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today visited the magnificent Seema Malaka Temple in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The PM offered prayers at the shrine. Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe also accompanied Shri Modi.

Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Wickramsinghe together pressed a switch for the lamp-lighting ceremony on the eve of Vesak Day, characterised by brilliant multi coloured lights and a fireworks display.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated H.E. Sanae Takaichi on her landmark victory in the elections to the House of Representatives of Japan.

The Prime Minister said that the Special Strategic and Global Partnership between India and Japan plays a vital role in enhancing global peace, stability and prosperity.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that under H.E. Takaichi’s able leadership, the India-Japan friendship will continue to reach greater heights.
