PM Modi interacted with spirited women karyakartas of the Bharatiya Janata Party from Bihar as part of the “Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot” outreach initiative. The interaction was marked by warmth, humour, and conviction as PM Modi hailed the vital role of women in strengthening democracy and steering India towards a Viksit Bharat.
Opening the interaction, PM Modi thanked the karyakartas for their tireless grassroots work and said that “Bihar’s women have always been the strongest force behind social change.” He emphasised that the “double-engine government” had prioritised women-led development through initiatives such as Ujjwala Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, and Jal Jeevan Mission, which have empowered women to become decision-makers within their homes and communities.
Recalling the dark days of “Jungle Raj”, PM Modi urged the karyakartas to remind voters, especially first-time voters of how lawlessness, corruption and fear had once defined Bihar. He said that today’s peaceful and development-oriented Bihar is a testament to the vision and commitment of the BJP-led government. “Those who once pushed Bihar into darkness are now talking about women’s safety and rights. Their record speaks for itself,” he said.
During the interaction, women karyakartas from across districts shared personal stories of change from better sanitation and clean drinking water to financial independence through self-help groups and Mudra loans. One worker from Gaya narrated how her family’s life transformed after receiving a PM Awas home, while another from Siwan spoke about the benefits of digital payments and Jan Dhan accounts. PM Modi lauded their spirit, saying, “It is women who have turned government schemes into people’s movements.”
The PM humorously remarked that the opposition alliance in Bihar was not a “gathbandhan” but a “gharbandhan” - a club of families protecting their dynasties. He urged the karyakartas to expose their hypocrisy and ensure that every voter knows how BJP’s governance model has put the aam naari at the centre of policy.
Reaffirming his message of “Pehle Matdaan, Phir Jalpaan,” PM Modi called upon the women of Bihar to lead by example and make every booth strong. “Every booth where women take charge becomes the strongest pillar of democracy,” he said.
Concluding the session, PM Modi expressed confidence that Bihar’s women will play a decisive role in the nation’s progress. “The women of Bihar are not just the beneficiaries of transformation—they are its architects,” he said, inspiring the Mahila Morcha to carry forward the message of empowerment, integrity, and service to every doorstep.
