Gujarat Chief Minister observes daylong fast at Junagadh

Shri Narendra Modi announces Rs.600-crore package for Sorath region, in addition to Rs.1,055-crore for development works

Ahmedabad, Thursday: Even as Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi observed daylong fast as part of his ‘Sadbhavna Mission’ at Junagadh today, he said its message for peace, unity and harmony for growth has reached millions of people.

Rounding up the day’s, Mr. Modi announced Rs.600-crore package for the Sorath region famous for saints and pilgrimage around the Girnar, in addition to Rs.1,055-crore for Junagadh city and the district. He spoke about the contribution of the region in milk production famous for Gir cow breed, helping farmers’ supplement their income.

About 8,000 people joined his fast today. It was part of 33 fasts being undertaken by him at district places and municipal corporation areas

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi invited everyone to join #ParikshaPeCharcha26 to be held tomorrow, 6th February at 10 AM. He highlighted that this year’s edition will feature very interesting topics relating to examinations, notably the importance of remaining stress free and focusing on learning. The Prime Minister emphasized that this platform has always been one he enjoys, as it provides him with the opportunity to interact with bright minds from across the country.
