لوک سبھا میں شہریت (ترمیمی) بل کی منظوری کا خیرمقدم کرتے ہوئے وزیر اعظم نریندر مودی نے ان تمام پارٹیوں اور اراکین پارلیمنٹ کا شکریہ ادا کیا جنہوں نے اس بل کی حمایت کی تھی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ بل انسانی قدروں میں موجود امتزاج اور یقین کے صدیوں پرانے ہندوستانی اخلاقیات سے ہم آہنگی رکھتا ہے۔
شہریت (ترمیمی) بل 2019 کے تمام پہلوؤں کو انتہائی آسان طریقے سے سمجھانے کے لئے وزیر اعظم نے وزیر داخلہ امت شاہ کی بھی ستائش کی۔
