నిర్మాణాత్మకమైన దేశం కోసం 2017ను 'సంకల్ప సే సిద్ధి' సంవత్సరంగా జరుపుకోవాలని దేశ ప్రజలను ప్రధానమంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోదీ కోరారు. భారతదేశం నుండి అపరిశుభ్రత, పేదరికం, ఉగ్రవాదం, కులతత్వం, మతతత్వం తరిమికొడదామని ప్రతిజ్ఞ చేద్దాం. స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాటంలో ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ పాల్గొనడం వల్ల క్విట్ ఇండియా ఉద్యమం విజయం సాధించిందని, 125 కోట్ల మంది భారతీయుల భాగస్వామ్యంతో క్లీన్ ఇండియా సాధించవచ్చని ఆయన స్పష్టం చేశారు.
తీవ్రవాదానికి భారతదేశం ఎన్నటికీ తలొగ్గదని ప్రధాని పేర్కొన్నారు. వాతావరణ రక్షించడం మన విశ్వాసంలో ఒక భాగంగా ఉందని ఆయన అన్నారు. రానున్న ఐదు సంవత్సరాలలో నెరవేరేలా 'సంకల్ప్ సే సిద్ధి' - 'సంకల్పంతో ద్వారా సాధించడం' ప్రచారం కోసం ఆగస్టు 9 వ తేదీ నుంచి ప్రధాని మోదీ పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
