இந்தியத் தொழில்நுட்ப கல்விக் கழகங்களுக்காகவும் அவற்றில் பட்டம் பெற்றவர்களின் சாதனைகளுக்காகவும், நாடு பெருமிதம் கொள்கிறது. ஐ.ஐ.டி –களின் வெற்றி நாடு முழுவதும் ஏராளமான பொறியியல் கல்லூரிகள் உருவாக வழிவகுத்துள்ளது. அவை ஐ.ஐ.டி-களால் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இதனால் தொழில்நுட்ப மனித ஆற்றல் கொண்ட உலகின் மிகப்பெரிய தொகுப்புகளில் ஒன்றாக இந்தியா விளங்குவதற்கு வழி ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. ஐ.ஐ.டி-கள் உலக அளவிலான இந்தியாவின் அடையாளத்தைக் கட்டமைத்துள்ளது என்று பிரதமர் கூறினார்.
