PM Modi attends convocation ceremony of IIT Bombay

At the convocation of IIT Bombay, PM Modi said that IITs have become 'India's Instrument of Transformation'. The PM appealed to students to innovate in India and innovate for humanity. He said, "From mitigating climate change to ensuring better agricultural productivity, from cleaner energy to water conservation, from combatting malnutrition to effective waste management, let us affirm that the best ideas will come from Indian laboratories and from Indian students."

The success of IITs led to the creation of engineering colleges around the country.
