Prime Minister Pays Tribute on Swahid Diwas

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today recalled the valour of all those who were a part of the historic Assam Movement, on the occasion of Swahid diwas.

Shri Modi emphasized that the Assam Movement continues to inspire generations and reaffirmed the Government’s dedication to realizing the vision of cultural strength and holistic development for the state.

In his message on X, the Prime Minister stated:

“Today, on Swahid Diwas, we recall the valour of all those who were a part of the Assam Movement. The Movement will always have a prime place in our history. We reiterate our commitment to fulfilling the dreams of those who participated in the Assam Movement, notably the strengthening of Assam’s culture and the all-round progress of the state.”

“আজি শ্বহীদ দিৱস উপলক্ষে অসম আন্দোলনত অংশগ্ৰহণ কৰা সকলোৰে শৌৰ্য্যক স্মৰণ কৰিছো। এই আন্দোলনে সদায় আমাৰ ইতিহাসত এক গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ স্থান অধিকাৰ কৰি থাকিব। আমি পুনৰ উল্লেখ কৰিব বিচাৰো যে, অসমৰ সংস্কৃতিক সবল কৰাৰ লগতে ৰাজ্যখনৰ সৰ্বাংগীন উন্নয়নৰ সপোন যিসকল আন্দোলনকাৰীয়ে দেখিছিল, সেই সপোনসমূহ পূৰণ কৰিবলৈ আমি প্ৰতিশ্ৰুতিবদ্ধ।”

Renaming of Adampur Airport is a fitting tribute to the timeless ideals of Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji: PM Modi

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi stated that it is a matter of immense honour and pride that today, on the auspicious occasion of Sant Ravidass Jayanti, it has been decided that the Adampur Airport will now onwards be known as Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji Airport. Shri Modi added that it is a fitting tribute to the timeless ideals of Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji and his message of equality, compassion and service continues to motivate us all greatly.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

"It’s a matter of immense honour and pride that today, on the auspicious occasion of Sant Ravidass Jayanti, it has been decided that the Adampur Airport will now onwards be known as Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji Airport. This is a joyous day for countless people. It is a fitting tribute to the timeless ideals of Shri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji. His message of equality, compassion and service continues to motivate us all greatly."

"ਇਹ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਮਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਫਖ਼ਰ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਸੰਤ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜਯੰਤੀ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਮੌਕੇ ਇਹ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਦਮਪੁਰ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਤੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਆਦਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢੁਕਵੀਂ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਹੈ। ਬਰਾਬਰੀ, ਦਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।"

"ये हमारे लिए सौभाग्य और गौरव की बात है कि आज संत रविदास जयंती के पावन अवसर पर एक महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लिया गया है। अब पंजाब के आदमपुर एयरपोर्ट को ‘श्री गुरु रविदास महाराज जी’ एयरपोर्ट के नाम से जाना जाएगा। ये हम सबके लिए अत्यंत खुशी का दिन है। ये श्री गुरु रविदास महाराज जी के शाश्वत आदर्शों के प्रति विनम्र श्रद्धांजलि है। समानता, करुणा और सेवा का उनका संदेश हम सभी को गहराई से प्रेरित करता है।"
