On the evening of 30th April, Shri Narendra Modi addressed a massive rally at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, and affirmed of the BJP’s commitment in developing Seemandhra. Shri Modi shared the BJP’s futuristic and development-oriented plan for Andhra Pradesh, whereby the potential of every sector would be tapped into for the progress of the State.

Stating how the Elections for the rest of the Nation were about choosing a government, while for Seemandhra it was about choosing a bright future for itself, Shri Modi affirmed that the people of Seemandhra must decide if they want to make ‘Seemandhra’ or ‘Scam-andhra’. He added that if a ‘Bhavya and Divya Seemandhra’ is their wish then they need to support Shri Chandrababu Naidu. “This is a delicate time for you & you have 2 choices. You have to choose if you want the good of Seemandhra or want to make it Scamandhra. If you elect the Scamandhra people then even if Delhi gives help nothing will happen for the people. If you want Seemandhra I am here for you and I will do everything possible for you. I still remember how Venkaiah Garu spoke about your problems in the Parliament and I am here to convey the same message. For a developed Seemandhra you have to make Chandrababu the CM,” said Shri Modi.

Shri Modi affirmed of the scope for development in Andhra Pradesh and spoke of how the weavers from the State had done exceedingly well in Gujarat. He also shared the special package for the handicrafts industry incorporated in the BJP’s Manifesto, and said that the local sector stands to benefit a lot from this. Weavers here have the strength. Through modernisation and branding a lot can be done. We have special provisions to take care of them,” said Shri Modi.

Shri Modi also spoke of how the Nation could become energy self-sufficient by utilizing the basins of Krishna-Godavari, and emphasized on the scope of development of the energy sector of Seemandhra. He stated how Gujarat had set up a Petroleum University, and welcomed the people from Seemandhra to attend the University and develop their skills in this sector. The port sector of Seemandhra could make the State the ‘Gateway of Prosperity’ for the country, said Shri Modi, even as he emphasized on developing the port sector by modernizing it and bringing in skilled manpower. For this, Shri Modi said, the need was to train the people by setting up marine engineering institutes. “Do not get unhappy, I have come here with an assurance. There is lots that can be done and I have a blueprint for the development of Seemandhra. Mai Vaada Nahi Irada Lekar Aaya hoon,” said Shri Modi.

Talking of the water crisis faced by most states, Shri Modi affirmed of the BJP’s focus on linking rivers and providing water to every corner of the country, through the initiation of the Pradhan Mantri Krushi Seechai Yojana.

Shri Modi commended the excellent work done by Shri Chandrababu Naidu in promoting Hyderabad and Andhra through the IT sector, and also mentioned of the need to develop the untapped potential of the hardware sector in the State. “Me and Chandra Babu have the same software. We both are thinking about development only. Can we make Seemandhra a Hardware capital? I request Chandrababu ji to do this and we will support him. Youth here are talented,” said Shri Modi.

Condemning the Centre’s disruptive approach, which had deceived the people of the State and the Nation, Shri Modi spoke of how similar falsity was shown by the Congress in tackling with farmer concerns or soldier killings. He also spoke of the Congress’ futile efforts at defaming Shri Modi with false allegations, and stated how the latest in the list of lies was an FIR filed against Shri Modi in Gujarat. “If someone shows a gun or knife, there can be an FIR but I showed a Lotus, and that is why an FIR was filed against me. This shows how worried the Congress is. Defeat is certain for them,” said Shri Modi.

Urging the people to wipe out the deceitful and disruptive practices of the Congress, Shri Modi appealed to them to see the Elections as the deciding step for the future of Seemandhra, and vote for the BJP-TDP alliance so as to ensure a better future for the State and the Nation.

Senior BJP leader Shri
Venkaiah Naidu
, Shri Chandrababu Naidu and noted actor Shri Pawan Kalyan also spoke during the rally.

Underlining the importance of increased use of technology, Prime Minister suggested development of a comprehensive national database of all museums in the country, incorporating key metrics such as footfall and quality standards. He also suggested organising regular workshops for those managing and operating museums, with a focus on capacity building and knowledge sharing.

Prime Minister highlighted the need for fresh initiatives, such as creation of a committee consisting of five persons from each State below the age of 35 years in order to bring out fresh ideas and perspectives on museums in the country.

Prime Minister also highlighted that with the creation of museum on all Prime Ministers, justice has been done to their legacy, including that of the first Prime Minister of India Shri Jawaharlal Nehru. This was not the case before 2014.

Prime Minister also asked for engaging top influencers to visit the museums and also invite the officials of various embassies to Indian museums to increase the awareness about the rich heritage preserved in Indian Museums.

Prime Minister advised that a compilation of all the legal battles and documents relating to the Emergency period may be prepared and preserved in light of the completion of 50 years after the Emergency.
