On Friday 14th February Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the state-of-the-art Sanjeev Kumar auditorium. Shri Modi recalled the rich contribution of Sanjeev Kumar to Indian cinema and expressed confidence that the Auditorium will serve as the cultural centre for Surat and will also encourage youngsters.

Prime Minister Welcomes Release of Commemorative Stamp Honouring Emperor Perumbidugu Mutharaiyar II

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi expressed delight at the release of a commemorative postal stamp in honour of Emperor Perumbidugu Mutharaiyar II (Suvaran Maran) by the Vice President of India, Thiru C.P. Radhakrishnan today.

Shri Modi noted that Emperor Perumbidugu Mutharaiyar II was a formidable administrator endowed with remarkable vision, foresight and strategic brilliance. He highlighted the Emperor’s unwavering commitment to justice and his distinguished role as a great patron of Tamil culture.

The Prime Minister called upon the nation—especially the youth—to learn more about the extraordinary life and legacy of the revered Emperor, whose contributions continue to inspire generations.
