ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਜ਼ੀਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met with the President of Brazil, H.E. Mr. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, on 19 November. Prime Minister thanked President Lula for his hospitality and congratulated him on the success of Brazil’s G20 and IBSA presidencies. Prime Minister commended the Brazilian initiative to establish the Global Alliance Against Poverty and Hunger and conveyed India’s strong support for it. As a G 20 Troika member, Prime Minister also underlined India's support for the Brazilian G 20 agenda focused on sustainable development and global governance reform, which has given primacy to the concerns of the Global South. He conveyed his best wishes for Brazil's leadership of BRICS and COP 30 next year and assured him of India’s full support.

 

ਬੈਠਕ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਭਾਰਤ-ਬ੍ਰਾਜ਼ੀਲ ਰਣਨੀਤਕ ਸਾਂਝੇਦਾਰੀ (India-Brazil Strategic Partnership) ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ‘ਤੇ ਭੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਹੋਈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ, ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਟੈਕਨੋਲੋਜੀ, ਟੂਰਿਜ਼ਮ, ਬਾਇਓਫਿਊਲਸ, ਫਾਰਮਾਸਿਊਟੀਕਲਸ ਅਤੇ ਸਪੇਸ (agriculture, defence, digital technology, tourism, biofuels, pharmaceuticals and space) ਜਿਹੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦ੍ਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

 

ਦੋਹਾਂ ਲੀਡਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਲਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਮਹੱਤਵ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਭੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ।

Prime Minister congratulates Shilpa Kanchugarakoppalu Shyla on winning Bronze in Women’s Shot Put F57 at Commonwealth Games 2026

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has congratulated Shilpa Kanchugarakoppalu Shyla on winning the Bronze medal in the Women’s Shot Put F57 Final at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026.

The Prime Minister said that Shilpa’s personal best throw made the achievement even more remarkable.

Shri Modi congratulated her on the accomplishment.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

“A brilliant performance by Shilpa Kanchugarakoppalu Shyla at the Commonwealth Games 2026!

Congratulations to Shilpa for having won the Bronze Medal in the Women's Shot Put F57 Final and that too with a personal best throw. This is indeed a remarkable accomplishment.
