People of India are the Government’s only high command: PM

Addressing a massive public meeting at Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that seeing enthusiasm of the people, it is clear that which party will form the Government in the upcoming elections. He urged the people of the state to vote for development. He also noted the contributions of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Shri Kalyan Singh in the development of Uttar Pradesh.

The Prime Minister remarked that it is time to transform Uttar Pradesh. “Some people are saying this election will end BJP's Vanvas in Uttar Pradesh. We do not see it through that prism. It is not about BJP but about UP. It has not been Vanvas of BJP but the Vanvas of development in UP and I see that changing very soon”, said Shri Modi.

Shri Modi said that NDA Government’s objective is to transform India, but the first precondition is to transform Uttar Pradesh. “Our agenda is development of Uttar Pradesh but sadly, but development doesn’t seem to be a priority for the rulers in the state.”

Launching attack on BSP and SP, Shri Modi said, “When have you seen SP & BSP talking in 1 voice? It’s rare to happen but on our decision to end corruption they are speaking in one voice. They say remove Modi, I say remove black money, they say remove Modi, I say remove corruption. People must decide what they want to remove.”

Shri Modi stated, “There is one party with minimal presence in UP, that is trying for 15 years to establish their leader but with little success. There is another party trying to save money and there is one more party trying to save their own family. There is only the BJP, whose aim is to save Uttar Pradesh.”

The Prime Minister said that people of India are the Government’s only high command and it is because of their blessings the Centre is undertaking steps to eradicate black money and corruption. “Our fight against corruption and black money will not stop. The middle class and the poor cannot be exploited any further”, Shri Modi added further.

BJP President Shri Amit Shah, Union Ministers Shri Rajnath Singh, Smt. Uma Bharti, Smt. Maneka Gandhi and several party karyakartas were present during the event.
