Shri Modi in Mumbai to offer his condolences to Thackeray family on the passing away of Shri Balasaheb Thackeray
Shri Modi meets Shri Uddhav Thackeray and the entire Thackeray family at Matoshree
BJP leaders from Mumbai accompany Shri Modi
The Chief Minister visited Matoshree, the residence Late Shri Balasaheb Thackeray and his family and met Shiv Sena CEO Shri Uddhav Thackeray as well as the rest of the family members. Shri Uddhav Thackeray came outside his residence both to receive and see off Shri Modi during the visit.
Shri Modi was accompanied by senior BJP leaders from Mumbai.
Earlier, Shri Modi had condoled the passing away of Shri Balasaheb Thackeray. He described Shri Balasaheb Thackeray as a person who was full of life and epitome of courage. He called Shri Thackeray a great cartoonist, independent minded journalist and termed his passing away as the end of an era.
The Chief Minister also referred to Shri Balasaheb Thackeray as a guide and said that his loss was a personal loss to him.
