ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ନରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମୋଦୀ ଧରିତ୍ରୀ ଦିବସ ଉପଲକ୍ଷେ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି । ବାର୍ତ୍ତାଟି ନିମ୍ନ ମତେ ପ୍ରଦତ୍ତ ହେଲା :
“ଧରିତ୍ରୀ ଦିବସ ହେଉଛି ପୃଥିବୀ ମାତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବିଶ୍ଵସ୍ତଭାବ ଏବଂ ଆମ ଗ୍ରହକୁ ସ୍ଵଚ୍ଛ ଓ ସବୁଜ ରଖିବା ପାଇଁ ଦୃଢ ସଂକଳ୍ପକୁ ଦୋହରାଇବାର ଦିନ ।
ପୃଥିବୀରେ ରହୁଥିବା ସବୁ ଉଦ୍ଭିଦ ସମ୍ପଦ, ପ୍ରାଣୀ ଓ ପକ୍ଷୀ ଜଗତ ସହ ମିଳିମିଶି ଜୀବନ ଅତିବାହିତ କରିବା ହେଲା ଆମର ସବୁଠାରୁ ବଡ କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ । ଆଗାମୀ ପିଢୀ ପାଇଁ ଆମେ ଏହା କରିବାକୁ ପଡିବ ।
ମୁଁ ଆଶା କରୁଛି ଯେ, ଚଳିତ ବର୍ଷର ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗ “ପର୍ଯ୍ୟ।ବରଣ ଓ ଜଳବାୟୁ ସାକ୍ଷରତା” ପ୍ରକୃତି ଏବଂ ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ ବିଭବକୁ ସଂରକ୍ଷିତ କରି ରଖିବା ଦିଗରେ ବ୍ୟାପକ ଜନ ସଚେତନତା ସୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ସହାୟକ ହେବ”।
