"ऐतिहासिक पहिल्या स्वातंत्र्ययुद्धाला 1857 मधे याच दिवशी सुरुवात झाली, याने जनतेत देशभक्तीची भावना प्रज्वलित केली आणि वसाहतवादी राजवट कमकुवत करण्यात योगदान दिले. 1857 च्या लढ्यात अतुलनीय धैर्याचे दर्शन घडवणाऱ्या सर्वांना मी आदरांजली वाहतो."
On this day in 1857 began the historic First War of Independence, which ignited a spirit of patriotism among our fellow citizens and contributed to the weakening of colonial rule. I pay homage to all those who were a part of the events of 1857 for their outstanding courage.
