When I say we need to build a Viksit Bharat, a Viksit Jharkhand, I say this for the better future of your children: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed massive election rallies in Garhwa and Chaibasa, Jharkhand. Addressing the gathering, the PM said, "This election in Jharkhand is taking place at a time when the entire country is moving forward with a resolution to become developed by 2047. The coming 25 years are very important for both the nation and Jharkhand. Today, there is a resounding call across Jharkhand... ‘Roti, Beti, Maati Ki Pukar, Jharkhand Mein…Bhajpa, NDA Sarkar’.”

“In the past 10 years, there has been a major focus on the infrastructure of Jharkhand to make it a developed state. The roads connecting Jharkhand to other parts of the country are being modernized and widened. Rail connectivity here is being strengthened. Today, 12 modern Vande Bharat trains are connecting Jharkhand. The waterway being developed on the Ganga River also connects Jharkhand. When you establish a double-engine government here, the state's development will also progress at double speed,” he added.

Congratulating Jharkhand BJP for releasing a wonderful Sankalp Patra, the PM asserted, “This manifesto is dedicated to the respect, safety, and prosperity of food, daughters, and the land. It includes many commitments for mothers, sisters, and daughters. Under the 'Gogo Didi' scheme, mothers and sisters will receive ₹2,100 every month. Earlier, we provided free gas connections to sisters from poor families under the Ujjwala scheme. Next year, during Diwali and Raksha Bandhan, Jharkhand’s sisters will also receive two free cylinders.”

Furthermore, criticizing the opposition, PM Modi said, “Now that BJP's Sankalp Patra is out, they have copied them and made new announcements. They can imitate, but where will they get BJP's good intentions? They say they will implement it from December, but by then, they won’t even be in power.”

Highlighting the JMM-Congress-RJD alliance's betrayal of Jharkhand’s youth, Prime Minister Modi stated, "Over the past 5 years, they promised unemployment benefits but failed to deliver. Recruitment scams and paper leaks became routine, and due to JMM's negligence, police recruitment even turned tragic. The BJP is committed to changing this. With a BJP government, 300,000 jobs will be filled transparently, a ₹2,000 ‘Yuva Sathi Bhatta’ will support young people, and an exam calendar will curb paper leaks. The central government has already enforced strict laws against paper leak offenders."

PM Modi slammed Congress, stating, "Since independence, their politics has been rooted in lies and betrayal. They make false promises to mislead voters, as seen in Haryana, where the public rejected their deceit aimed at women, farmers, and marginalized communities. Wherever Congress has gained power through lies, they have left states in disarray, like Himachal, where employees face salary issues and protests for their rightful DA. In Telangana, people suffer from Congress’s false promises, and turmoil in Karnataka highlights their failures. Even Congress president Kharge admitted their reckless guarantees could bankrupt states. Don’t trust Congress and its allies."

During the public meeting, PM Modi condemned the JMM, Congress, and RJD as family-oriented parties that want to monopolize power within their clans. He highlighted their mistreatment of merit-based leaders, citing the humiliation of Champai Soren ji as an example. He questioned why those who prioritize their families over everything else would care about the people of Jharkhand and urged the youth to teach these selfish parties a lesson.

PM Modi launched a salvo at the JMM-Congress-RJD government for engaging in corruption. “There isn’t a single chief minister, minister, MLA, or MP who isn’t facing serious allegations of corruption. Mountains of cash have been found with the associates of JMM ministers, and piles of money were discovered at the home of a Congress MP. Even the counting machines got tired of counting the cash,” he said.

Accusing the JMM, Congress, and RJD of extreme appeasement policies, PM Modi claimed they were intent on disrupting social harmony and supporting illegal immigrants. He stated they are settling Bangladeshi infiltrators across Jharkhand to secure votes. The ban on Saraswati Vandana in schools highlights the serious threat and violence during festivals and curfews indicate a dangerous situation. He emphasized they are taking away your Roti, Beti aur Maati.

PM Modi stated, "If the BJP were in power here, the Son-Kanhar pipeline irrigation project would have been completed long ago. We also want to include the Chiyanki Airport in the affordable air travel scheme, UDAN, but the current government shows no interest. We have approved solar parks for Palamu and Garhwa, yet the JMM government is keeping people in the dark and not providing land for these projects. They do not want the youth here to get jobs or for Jharkhand to develop."

Emphasizing the BJP-NDA values – ‘Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi,’ PM Modi reiterated, “We are placing special emphasis on the development of areas and communities that have lagged behind in the past. We are also working on the development of tribal regions while proudly promoting tribal heritage. The BJP is establishing ten major museums dedicated to tribal traditions, arts, and culture across the country.”

Remembering Birsa Munda ji, he said, “In just a few days, we will celebrate the birth anniversary of Dharti Aaba Birsa Munda ji. It is this BJP-NDA government that declared his birth anniversary as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. This year's celebration is particularly special, as from November 15, we will commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda ji for the next two years.”

PM Modi, while addressing the second rally of the day in Chaibasa, prioritized the importance of tribal rights and empowerment. He highlighted the BJP's commitment to tribal communities, recalling how the party facilitated the creation of separate states like Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. He condemned the Congress and RJD for their historical opposition to tribal rights and pointed out their failure to provide representation for tribal individuals in key political roles, he mentioned further that “Baba Saheb Ambedkar initiated tribal reservation to safeguard the rights of our tribal communities. However, even back then, Nehruji opposed this reservation.”

PM Modi reaffirmed the government's initiatives for tribal welfare, including launching the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan and the PM JANMAN, which aim to enhance infrastructure and quality of life in tribal areas. He stressed the significance of recognizing and respecting tribal languages and culture while warning against Congress's attempts to undermine tribal reservations.

The PM concluded by affirming that the BJP will continue to prioritize tribal welfare and representation in its governance. He reassured, “Every single vote you cast will guarantee development and ensure the protection and respect of our tribal heritage.”
