The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has greeted engineers on Engineers' Day. The Prime Minister also paid tributes to Bharat Ratna, Shri M. Visvesvaraya, on his birth anniversary.

"My dear engineer friends, greetings to you on Engineers' Day. I salute your hardwork and innovation, which has benefited India immensely.

I pay my tributes to one of India's foremost engineers, Bharat Ratna M. Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary.

From Make in India to Digital India, India's engineers have a pivotal role in realizing the aspirations of 125 crore Indians", the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister shares Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting significance of mutual dependence

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-

“प्रभया हि विना यद्वद् भानुरेष न विद्यते।

प्रभा च भानुना तेन सुतरां तदुपाश्रया॥”

The Subhashitam conveys that just as the Sun cannot be perceived without its light, so too light cannot exist without the Sun. Thus, the entire existnce and power of the Sun and its light are entirely dependent upon each other.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

प्रभया हि विना यद्वद् भानुरेष न विद्यते।
