The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has condoled the passing away of former Lok Sabha Speaker Shri PA Sangma.

"Shri PA Sangma was a self-made leader whose contribution towards the development of the Northeast is monumental. Saddened by his demise.

Shri PA Sangma's tenure as Lok Sabha Speaker is unforgettable. His down to earth personality and affable nature endeared him to many.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the nation on the advent of the New Year 2026.

Shri Modi highlighted through the Subhashitam that the goal of life is to be equipped with virtues of knowledge, disinterest, wealth, bravery, power, strength, memory, independence, skill, brilliance, patience and tenderness.

Quoting the ancient wisdom, the Prime Minister said:

“2026 की आप सभी को बहुत-बहुत शुभकामनाएं। कामना करते हैं कि यह वर्ष हर किसी के लिए नई आशाएं, नए संकल्प और एक नया आत्मविश्वास लेकर आए। सभी को जीवन में आगे बढ़ने की प्रेरणा दे।
