Unlike Congress-led governance of fear, BJP’s governance is driven by confidence. When terror strikes us, we strike back at them harder: PM Modi

Ahead of the assembly election in poll-bound Rajasthan, PM Modi addressed a powerful rally in Baytu. PM Modi said, “Entire Rajasthan is saying the Congress is going, and BJP is coming back to power.” He added that people are critiquing the present Congress Government by stating that ‘Gehlot Ji won’t get any votes.’

PM Modi stated, “BJP’s steadfast commitment is to facilitate women empowerment and women-led development in Rajasthan.” He added that Central Government’s various schemes have also been oriented towards the same.

Lamenting the Congress-led tradition of corruption and commission, PM Modi said, “Congress has deprived people of Rajasthan of basic drinking water by siphoning off funds meant for the Jal Jeevan Mission through corruption and commission.”

“On the contrary, the BJP Government has announced the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ to facilitate the benefits of various schemes to all the beneficiaries, enabling complete saturation,” added PM Modi.

On the vicious state of crime and violence against women in Rajasthan, PM Modi said, “On one hand, the BJP promotes respect and dignity towards women, and on the other hand, CM Gehlot calls violence against women baseless in Rajasthan.” He added that such a nonchalant attitude by the CM of Rajasthan has threatened the lives of women and girls in Rajasthan.

Furthering criticism of Congress-led politics of appeasement, PM Modi said, “Wherever and whenever Congress comes to power, a reign of terrorism, mafia rule, rioting takes over that particular state.” He added that this Congress-led reign of terror makes sure that the entire state’s legacy and cultural heritage is destroyed and that the same has happened with Rajasthan.

Highlighting the Congress-led petty politics in Rajasthan, PM Modi said, “In Rajasthan, the CM is only concerned about his power, depriving the people of its rightful development.” He added that, owing to this, a general sense of anarchy prevails in the state of Rajasthan. “The Lal Diary, Paper-leak Mafia, crores worth scams, and scandals have become a reality owing to the anarchic situation in Rajasthan, fostered by the Congress Government,” added PM Modi. He remarked that thorough scrutiny and investigation of all these Congress-led scams would be done and that it is Modi’s guarantee.

Be it the Vibrant Villages Scheme for border infra, One Rank One Pension for our Bravehearts, or the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, the BJP always aims to foster and promote the development of all, said PM Modi. He added, “Unlike Congress-led governance of fear, BJP’s governance is driven by confidence. When terror strikes us, we strike back at them harder.”

PM Modi said that these elections are not merely to choose representatives but to choose an effective system of governance that can further the rule of law and order. He also appealed to voters to vote for the BJP and discard the anti-farmer and scams-laden Congress Party.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will undertake a visit to Assam on 20-21 December. On 20th December, at around 3 PM, Prime Minister will reach Guwahati, where he will undertake a walkthrough and inaugurate the New Terminal Building of Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

On 21st December, at around 9:45 AM, Prime Minister will pay tribute to martyrs at Swahid Smarak Kshetra in Boragaon, Guwahati. After that, he will travel to Namrup in Dibrugarh, Assam, where he will perform Bhoomi Pujan for the Ammonia-Urea Project of Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company Ltd. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Prime Minister will inaugurate the new terminal building of Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport in Guwahati, marking a transformative milestone in Assam’s connectivity, economic expansion and global engagement.

The newly completed Integrated New Terminal Building, spread over nearly 1.4 lakh square metres, is designed to handle up to 1.3 crore passengers annually, supported by major upgrades to the runway, airfield systems, aprons and taxiways.

India’s first nature-themed airport terminal, the airport’s design draws inspiration from Assam’s biodiversity and cultural heritage under the theme “Bamboo Orchids”. The terminal makes pioneering use of about 140 metric tonnes of locally sourced Northeast bamboo, complemented by Kaziranga-inspired green landscapes, japi motifs, the iconic rhino symbol and 57 orchid-inspired columns reflecting the Kopou flower. A unique “Sky Forest”, featuring nearly one lakh plants of indigenous species, offers arriving passengers an immersive, forest-like experience.

The terminal sets new benchmarks in passenger convenience and digital innovation. Features such as full-body scanners for fast, non-intrusive security screening, DigiYatra-enabled contactless travel, automated baggage handling, fast-track immigration and AI-driven airport operations ensure seamless, secure and efficient journeys.

Prime Minister will visit the Swahid Smarak Kshetra to pay homage to the martyrs of the historic Assam Movement, a six-year-long people’s movement that embodied the collective resolve for a foreigner-free Assam and the protection of the State’s identity.

Later in the day, Prime Minister will perform Bhoomipujan of the new brownfield Ammonia-Urea Fertilizer Project at Namrup, in Dibrugarh, Assam, within the existing premises of Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL).

Furthering Prime Minister’s vision of Farmers’ Welfare, the project, with an estimated investment of over Rs. 10,600 crore, will meet fertilizer requirements of Assam and neighbouring states, reduce import dependence, generate substantial employment and catalyse regional economic development. It stands as a cornerstone of industrial revival and farmer welfare.
