Youth can play a leading role in fighting corruption & black money: PM

While addressing the National Youth Festival at Rohtak, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled the values of Swami Vivekananda. Shri Modi said that Vivekananda wanted to create an atmosphere of brotherhood amongst the youth. He said that youth can be agents of change in the fight against black money and corruption.

Shri Modi said that ours is a youthful nation and imbibing the ideals of Vivekananda, India’s youth has the potential to make the country ‘Vishwaguru’.

Shri Modi said that youth can play a leading role in moving towards a less-cash society and inculcating habits of transacting digitally among the elders. He said, “Today, youth plays a significant role when taking the country towards increased digital economy.”

“Corruption has had adverse impact on our country and it is now time to rid India from the grasps of such evils. Youth can give a major boost to our fight against corruption and black money. I urge the youth to inculcate the habit of doing cashless transactions in at least ten families and promote a less-cash society”, said the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister receives phone call from President Emmanuel Macron, discusses situation in West Asia and maritime security

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, received a phone call from the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed the prevailing situation in West Asia. They agreed on the urgent need to restore safety and ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Both leaders reiterated their commitment to continue close cooperation in advancing peace and stability in the region and beyond.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

“Received a phone call from my dear friend President Emmanuel Macron. We discussed the situation in West Asia and agreed on the need to urgently restore safety and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

We will continue our close cooperation to advance peace and stability in the region and beyond.
