“TMC jabe, BJP ashbe!”: PM Modi’s reassurance in Bengal

PM Modi addressed an overflowing crowd gathered at a public meeting in Kolkata where he declared that Bengal’s rise is essential for India’s rise. He firmly reassured, “The BJP government at the Centre has continuously supported Bengal’s growth. From highways to railways, Bengal has received three times more funds than under UPA. But the biggest challenge is that funds sent from Delhi are looted by the state government and not spent on people’s welfare. Instead, they are siphoned off to TMC cadres,” he said.

The PM pointed out how the same situation existed in Assam and Tripura before BJP came to power there. For the benefits of central schemes to reach Bengal too, a BJP government in the state is essential,” he said, with the resounding call: “TMC jabe, BJP ashbe!”

Paying homage to luminaries like Satish Chandra Dasgupta, Surendranath Bandopadhyay, Gostha Pal and Harinath De, PM Modi said Bengal has always been the cradle of India’s renaissance. “But after independence, Bengal was betrayed. Congress, Left and now TMC have pushed the state backward. Recruitment scams have ruined youth, atrocities on women have increased, and corruption has become TMC’s identity. That is why people of Bengal are relying on the sole mantra: TMC jabe, tobei ashol poriborton ashbe! Real change means industries that create jobs in Bengal, safety for women, respect for farmers and criminals in jail, not in power. True change where even the poorest live with dignity, and only BJP can deliver this. Bachte chai, BJP tai!”

Marking the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, PM Modi reminded the people that he was the father of India’s industrial policy and a son of Bengal whose vision was buried by Congress. Today, India has chosen a new path of self-reliance and Make in India is becoming a great success. The pride Bengal was once known for must be restored together. That is why Bengal echoes today: TMC-ke shorano, Bangla-ke bachano!”
PM Modi attacked TMC for blocking development. “Smart City Mission could have solved many of the urban challenges here, but TMC refused to join it. Their mission is not to help people, but only to block BJP.”

He also raised the issue of infiltration, calling it a demographic crisis. “Infiltrators snatch jobs from the youth, put pressure on infrastructure and commit atrocities against women. Farmers are cheated out of their lands. This is unacceptable. That is why from the Red Fort I announced a Demography Mission. Those who came with fake papers to snatch livelihoods must leave India. But TMC and Congress have surrendered to appeasement and encourage infiltrators for vote-bank politics.”

PM Modi reminded the people that the country is fighting a decisive battle against corruption and BJP has brought a historic anti-corruption bill. “Even a small employee is suspended if jailed, but ministers and CMs continue in office, even from jail. Bengal has seen this in the teacher recruitment scam and ration scam. Crores recovered, yet ministers refused to resign. This is an insult to democracy. The new law is equal for all, even the Prime Minister.”

Referring to Operation Sindoor, where Indian forces destroyed terrorist bases across the border, PM Modi said the operation was powered by Made in India weapons, and Bengal’s Ichhapur factory had a big role to play. “Congress ruined this factory, but BJP revived it. Today, it makes modern rifles and creates jobs for thousands in Dumdum–Barrackpore.”

In his concluding remarks, PM Modi reiterated, Bengal will once again become the powerhouse of India’s growth. “Remember and share — Bachte Chai, BJP Tai!” said PM Modi.
The rally ended with thunderous slogans of “TMC hatao, Bangla bachao! Beekoshito Bangla, Modir Guarantee!”

India Semiconductor Mission: Momentum accelerates further as India advances into Compound Semiconductor based Mini/Micro LED Display Manufacturing

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved two more semiconductor projects under India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) which includes country’s first commercial Mini/Micro-LED display facility based on GaN (Gallium Nitride) Technology and a semiconductor packaging facility.

The two approved proposals will set up semiconductor manufacturing facilities in Gujarat with a cumulative investment of around Rs.3,936 crore and are expected to generate cumulative employment for 2,230 skilled professionals.

The details of the two approved proposals are as follows:

Crystal Matrix Limited (CML) will establish an integrated facility for compound semiconductor fabrication and ATMP in Dholera, Gujarat for manufacturing Mini/Micro-LED display modules. The integrated facility will also provide GaN foundry services, including epitaxy on 6” wafers. The annual proposed production capacity for Mini/Micro-LED Display Panels is 72,000 sq. meters, and for Mini-Micro-LED GaN Epitaxy Wafers is 24,000 sets of RGB wafers. The proposed products will have applications in large displays for TVs and signages/commercial displays, Medium-sized displays for tablets, smartphones, and in-car displays, and Micro-displays for Extended Reality (XR) glasses and smart watches.

Suchi Semicon Private Limited (SSPL) will be setting up an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Surat, Gujarat for manufacturing discrete semiconductors. The proposed production capacity of the Suchi Semicon is 1033.20 million chips per annum. The target applications include power electronics, analog ICs, and industrial systems, serving end markets such as automotive, industrial automation, and consumer electronics.
With these two approvals, semiconductor ecosystem in the country would get a significant boost as the total number of approved projects under India Semi-conductor Mission (ISM) reaches 12, with cumulative investments of around Rs.1.64 lakh crore.

These would complement the growing world class chip design capabilities coming up in the country which are propelled by design infrastructure support provided by Government to 315 academic institutions and 104 start-ups.

Momentum is building up further in the semiconductor ecosystem in India with the ten approved projects already in various stages of execution. Two projects have already started commercial shipments from India and Two more are expected to start commercial shipments soon.
