પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદી આવતી કાલે તા. 21 એપ્રિલનાં રોજ નવી દિલ્હીમાં વિજ્ઞાન ભવન ખાતે પ્રાધાન્ય ધરાવતા સુનિશ્ચિત કાર્યક્રમોનાં અસરકારક અમલીકરણ માટે તથા જિલ્લા/અમલીકરણ એકમો તેમજ કેન્દ્ર/રાજ્ય સંગઠનોમાં નવીનીકરણ અને ઉત્તમ કામગીરી બદલ શ્રેષ્ઠતા પુરસ્કાર એનાયત કરશે. આ પ્રસંગે પ્રધાનમંત્રી સનદી અધિકારીઓને સંબોધન કરશે.
નાગરિકોના કલ્યાણ માટે કેન્દ્ર અને રાજ્ય સરકારનાં સંગઠનો દ્વારા ચાર પ્રાધાન્ય ધરાવતા કાર્યક્રમોમાં જાહેર વહિવટના ક્ષેત્રે થયેલી ઉદાહરણરૂપ કામગીરીનો સ્વીકાર તેમજ કદર કરીને બહુમાન કરવામાં આવે છે. પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રેષ્ઠતા પુરસ્કાર માટેની નિર્ધારિત યોજનાઓમાં (1) પ્રધાનમંત્રી પાક વીમા યોજના, (2) ડિજિટલ ચૂકવણીને પ્રોત્સાહન (3) પ્રધાનમંત્રી આવાસ યોજના – શહેરી અને ગ્રામ્ય, (4) દિનદયાળ ઉપાધ્યાય ગ્રામિણ કૌશલ્ય યોજનાનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.
આ ઉપરાંત આ વર્ષે 4 નિર્ધારિત પ્રાધાન્ય ધરાવતા કાર્યક્રમો માટે 11 એવોર્ડ આપવામાં આવશે જ્યારે 2 એવોર્ડ કેન્દ્ર અને રાજ્ય સરકારો તેમજ જિલ્લાઓમાં નવીનીકરણ બદલ એનાયત કરવામાં આવશે. જે પૈકી એક એવોર્ડ જિલ્લાને મહત્વાકાંક્ષી કામગીરી કરવા બદલ એનાયત કરવામાં આવશે.
આ પ્રસંગે પ્રધાનમંત્રી બે પુસ્તકોનું વિમોચન કરશે. જેમાંનું ‘New Pathways’ (નવા માર્ગો) એ એક સુનિશ્ચિત પ્રાધાન્ય ધરાવતા કાર્યક્રમો અને નવીનીકરણની સફળ ગાથાઓનો સંગ્રહ છે જ્યારે ‘Aspirational Districts: Unlocking Potentials’ (મહત્વાકાંક્ષી જિલ્લાઓ – ક્ષમતાને ઓળખવી) મહત્વાકાંક્ષી જિલ્લાઓમાં પરિવર્તનની ક્ષમતા માટે વ્યુહરચના ઘડવા અંગેનું વૃતાંત છે.
