પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ આજે ઝારખંડનાં રાંચીમાં સ્વાસ્થ્ય વીમા યોજના – પ્રધાનમંત્રી જન આરોગ્ય યોજનાની શરૂઆત કરી હતી.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ પીએમજેએવાયને એક વિશાળ જાહેર સભામાં શુભારંભ કરવા માટે મંચ પર પહોંચતા અગાઉ એક પ્રદર્શનની મુલાકાત પણ લીધી હતી.

આ કાર્યક્રમમાં પ્રધાનંમત્રીએ ચાઈબાસા અને કોડરમામાં મેડિકલ કોલેજોનાં ભૂમિપૂજનની તકતીનું અનાવરણ પણ કર્યું હતું. તેમણે 10 સ્વાસ્થ્ય અને કલ્યાણ કેન્દ્રોનું પણ ઉદઘાટન કર્યું હતું.

આ પ્રસંગે બોલતા પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, આ યોજનાની શરૂઆત ગરીબોમાં અતિ ગરીબ અને સમાજનાં વંચિત વર્ગોને શ્રેષ્ઠ સ્વાસ્થ્ય સેવા અને સારવાર પ્રદાન કરવાનાં ઉદ્દેશ સાથે થઈ છે. તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે, આ યોજના અંતર્ગત દર વર્ષ દરેક કુટુંબને રૂ. 5 લાખનો સ્વાસ્થ્ય વીમો આપવાનાં વિચાર કરવામાં આવ્યો છે, જેનો લાભ 50 કરોડથી વધારે લોકોને મળશે અને આ દુનિયાની સૌથી મોટી સ્વાસ્થ્ય વીમા યોજના છે. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, આ યોજનાનાં લાભાર્થીઓની સંખ્યા યુરોપીય સંઘની વસતિને સમકક્ષ છે, અથવા અમેરિકા, કેનેડા અને મેક્સિકોની સંયુક્ત વસતિ જેટલી છે.

તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, આયુષ્માન ભારતનાં પ્રથમ ભાગ – સ્વાસ્થ્ય અને કલ્યાણ કેન્દ્રની શરૂઆત બાબાસાહેબ આંબેડકરની જયંતિ પર થઈ હતી અને બીજા ભાગ – સ્વાસ્થ્ય વીમા યોજના – દીનદયાળ ઉપાધ્યાયની જયંતિનાં બે દિવસ અગાઉ શરૂ કરવામાં આવી છે.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ પીએમજેએવાયની વ્યાપકતા વિશે વિસ્તારપૂર્વક બોલતાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે, તેમાં કેન્સર અને હૃદયરોગ જેવી ગંભીર બિમારીઓ સહિત 1300 રોગો સામેલ હશે. તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે, આ યોજનામાં ખાનગી હોસ્પિટલ પણ સામેલ હશે.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ કહ્યું હતું કે, રૂ. 5 લાખની રકમમાં તમામ તપાસ, દવાઓ, હોસ્પિટલમાં ભરતી થઈને સારવારનો ખર્ચ વગેરે પણ સામેલ હશે. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, આ યોજના અંતર્ગત અગાઉની બિમારીઓને પણ કવચ પ્રદાન કરવામાં આવશે. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, લોકો 14555 ડાયલ કરીને કે સેવા કેન્દ્રનાં માધ્યમથી આ યોજના વિશે વધારે જાણકારી મેળવી શકે છે.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, જે રાજ્યો પીએમજેએવાયનો ભાગ છે અને એનાં નાગરિકો અન્ય કોઈ રાજ્યમાં સ્થળાંતર કરે છે, તો પણ આ યોજનાનો લાભ મેળવી શકે છે. તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે, દેશભરમાં 13,000થી વધારે હોસ્પિટલને આ યોજનામાં સામેલ કરવામાં આવી છે.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ આજે ઉદ્ઘાટન કરેલા 10 સ્વાસ્થ્ય અને કલ્યાણકારક કેન્દ્રો વિશે પણ વાત કરી હતી. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, દેશભરમાં આ પ્રકારનાં કેન્દ્રોની સંખ્યા 2300 સુધી પહોંચી ગઈ છે. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, એમનો લક્ષ્યાંક આગામી ચાર વર્ષોની અંદર ભારતમાં આ પ્રકારનાં 1.5 લાખ કેન્દ્રો ખોલવાનો છે.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, કેન્દ્ર સરકાર દેશમાં સ્વાસ્થ્ય ક્ષેત્રમાં સુધારો કરવા માટે સંપૂર્ણ દ્રષ્ટિકોણ સાથે કામ કરી રહી છે. તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે, તેમનું ધ્યાન ‘એફોર્ડેબલ હેલ્થકેર’ એટલે કે પરવડે તેવી આરોગ્ય સેવાઓ અને ‘પ્રિવેન્ટિવ હેલ્થકેર’ એટલે કે નિવારણાત્મક આરોગ્ય સેવાઓ એમ બંને પર કેન્દ્રિત છે.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ વિશ્વાસ વ્યક્ત કરતાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે, પીએમજેએવાય સાથે સંબંધિત તમામ લોકોનાં પ્રયાસો અને ડૉક્ટર્સ, નર્સ, હેલ્થ પ્રોવાઇડર્સ, આશા, એએનએમ વગેરે સમર્પણનાં માધ્યમથી આ યોજના સફળ થશે.
