Prime Minister Narendra Modi today campaigned in Orai and Phoolpur districts of Uttar Pradesh. He launched attack at the SP, BSP and Congress and held them responsible for slow growth of Uttar Pradesh. He urged the people to give the BJP an opportunity to serve UP for five years. “SP, BSP and Congress should be defeated from Bundelkhand. They have been taking this region for granted for a very long time”, Shri Modi stated.

Shri Narendra Modi held the UP government for not paying attention on developing Bundelkhand region. He said, “If the BJP forms the Government, there will be a different Bundelkhand Vikas Board directly monitored by the Chief Minister's Office.” The PM also said that illegal mining in the region must stop.

Attacking the Samajwadi party and Bahujan Samaj party, Shri Modi remarked that leaders of both parties amassed wealth for themselves and none could expect them to care and do good for people He added, “SP and BSP are sworn enemies. When one says something, the other party says the opposite. Yet they are together to oppose demonetization.”

Shri Modi hit out at UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and said. “You say your work speaks for itself but why the Allahabad court has to come out with a verdict?”

PM Modi questioned the UP government on the adverse situation of law and order in the state. He said, “In Uttar Pradesh law and order situation is a disaster. This must change. Government’s work is to ensure safety for the people. Sadly, the state government is not paying attention to it.”

The Prime Minister spoke at length about farmer welfare and highlighted several farmer friendly schemes of the Centre. Shri Modi said that the BJP Government in the state would ensure farmers were rid of the troubles they faced. He added further, “Earlier there used to black marketing of urea. We neem coated urea & now it benefits only farmers.”

PM also expressed concern over shutting down of industries in Uttar Pradesh. He said that BJP Government would make sure that the youth of Uttar Pradesh got jobs in the state itself. He stated that the Centre had initiated several programmes like Skill India and Startup India aimed at opening up opportunities for the youth. PM also spoke about work being done in electrification of villages, providing gas connections to the poor and Swachh Bharat.

He also took a jibe at the Congress and said, “In 1988, then PM Rajiv Gandhi laid foundation stone of a glass factory. But why the factory is not yet operational?”

PM said BJP was dedicated to serve the poor and would initiate policies that benefitted them. “Being brought up in a poor background, I’m aware of the hardships they face. I urge people of the states to elect a BJP Government that would work for welfare of all.” He also highlighted about reduction in stent prices aimed at benefiting the poor by making treatments affordable.

The Prime Minister said that the BJP was dedicated to create an atmosphere of development and to bring about a positive change in people's lives.

Prime Minister recalls the courage of those impacted by Partition on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today stated that as we mark Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, we recall the courage of all those who were impacted by Partition. He noted that it was a moment in history that tore apart several lives, where families were uprooted, loved ones were lost, and immense suffering was endured.

The Prime Minister highlighted that at the same time, overcoming this, people rebuilt their lives from nothing, turned adversity into achievement, and contributed immensely to our nation’s progress. He observed that their life journeys remind us of the strength of the human spirit. Shri Modi expressed hope that this day may deepen our resolve to preserve harmony and brotherhood in our nation and collectively work towards building a Viksit Bharat.

The Prime Minister offered his heartfelt tributes to all those countrymen who, emerging from that horrific period, made invaluable contributions to the progress of the country. He stated that through their courage and capability, they showed how resolutions are accomplished even in adverse circumstances. Shri Modi called upon everyone to further strengthen the national spirit of goodwill and solidarity.

Sharing a Subhashitam, the Prime Minister emphasized that it is through hard work, enterprise, and dedicated effort that diverse arts, science, technological skills, craftsmanship, and innovations flourish, paving the way for success. He added that therefore, one should not remain dependent on fate; rather, one should move steadily towards one's goals with courage, diligence, and persistent effort, for it is human endeavor that shapes destiny.
