With renewed supprt from the people, the BJP will make reviving Bengali culture a priority: Prime Minister Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed two major public meetings in Mathurapur and Dum Dum constituencies of West Bengal today as the election campaigning in the crucial state comes to a halt tonight.

Lashing out at the ruling TMC machinery for sponsoring violence against the BJP in West Bengal, PM Modi said, “The entire nation has witnessed the extent to which the TMC of Mamata Didi is willing to go to repress voices for democratic expression by the BJP karyakartas. The killing of six BJP workers as well as the vandalisation of the bust of great reformer Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar by the TMC goons has revealed yet again that Didi is ready to do everything possible to save her vote-bank politics from being decimated.”

Describing the overwhelming support for the BJP in Bengal as heartening, PM Modi said that the election results of 23rd May will provide a reality check to the arrogant and repressive regime of Mamata Didi, who is greatly underestimating the support that people of Bengal are giving to the BJP this time. He added that while the TMC’s use of violence and intimidation was shameful, what was more shameful was the damage that her politics had caused to the culture and spiritual ethos of the great land of Bengal and that with renewed supprt from the people, the BJP will make reviving Bengali culture a priority.
