Mr. Bimalendra Nidhi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs of Nepal called on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today.

Mr. Bimalendra Nidhi briefed the Prime Minister about recent developments in Nepal. 

The Prime Minister said that India is fully committed to strengthening the age-old ties of friendship and kinship between the people of both countries, and to support the Government of Nepal in all its endeavours for socio-economic development of Nepal.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam emphasising that knowledge can be gained only through devoted service to the Guru.

The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-

"यथा खात्वा खनित्रेण भूतले वारि विन्दति।

तथा गुरुगतां विद्यां शुश्रूषुरधिगच्छति॥"

The Subhashitam conveys, that just as one must dig deep into the earth with hard work and patience to obtain water, in the same way, knowledge can be gained only through devoted service to the Guru, with faith, dedication, discipline, and sincerity.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

"यथा खात्वा खनित्रेण भूतले वारि विन्दति।

तथा गुरुगतां विद्यां शुश्रूषुरधिगच्छति॥"
