Gujarat has contributed in a great way to transform electoral politics to development oriented politics

Congress will be wiped out in the 2012 assembly elections.

Will never allow Delhi's shadow to be cast over Gujarat.

Slamming the UPA government on the issue of development, Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the BJP is confident of winning the 2012 Assembly polls. He said that the Congress will be wiped out in 2012 polls.

"We are optimistic about winning 2012 assembly polls. We will not let corruption flourish in Gujarat. Congress has disappointed people. Gujarat is setting example in areas of development and growth," Shri Modi said at the BJP meet in Rajkot.

"People of this country are fed up with the government. Congress leaders and ministers are not able to give solutions to any problem," he added.

Addressing the state executive meeting, Narendra Modi also hinted at change at the Centre and said the people of the country were fed up with the UPA govt.

Taking a dig at the UPA, Gujarat chief minister said the Manmohan Singh govt had not realised that their boat was sinking.

Targeting the Congress over corruption, Modi said the compulsions of coalition politics was preventing the party from acting against corruption. He said the rupee had been devalued not due to the weakness in the economy but due to UPA's corruption.

He said that Government has to decide whether this century belongs to Delhi or China, but Centre has let India down. The Congress government has jolted the integrity of India. India is one of the most youngest countries in the world. But look what the Congress government has done with it.

He said, “The Congress government has no answers to the charges against it. Look where inflation has reached. What are the people in Delhi doing? Every time our Prime Minister assures the nation that the inflation will come down. Mr Prime Minister, if you cannot bring the prices down, at least bring it to that level where our Atal Behari Vajpayee ji left it.”

“We in Gujarat have chosen the path of development. We will never leave the politics of development. We are Team BJP and Team Gujarat. We believe in peace, harmony, brotherhood and development.”
