साथियों,

ये कोसी मइया और गंगा मइया के संगम की पुण्य भूमि है। इस धरती पर शीतला माता और मां पूरण देवी का आशीर्वाद है। और आज मैं यहां इतनी विशाल संख्या में मातृशक्ति के दर्शन कर रहा हूं। माताएं-बहनें आशीर्वाद देने आई हैं। इससे बड़ा सौभाग्य क्या होगा? ये मेरा सौभाग्य है कि आप, NDA के हमारे सभी साथियों को आशीर्वाद देने यहां इतनी बड़ी संख्या में आए हैं। जितने लोग यहां दिखते हैं उससे ज्यादा लोग बाहर खड़े हैं। और जितने लोग यहां हैं उससे ज्यादा रोड पर आ रहे हैं। इतनी बड़ी तादाद में जब आप आए हैं तो आपको मेरी एक बात याद रखनी है। आपका एक वोट बिहार को जंगलराज से सुशासन राज में लाया है। अब आपका एक वोट बिहार को समृद्ध बनाएगा, बिहार को विकसित बनाएगा, बिहार में सुशासन की सरकार की वापसी पक्का करेगा।

साथियों,

आपको मेरा एक और काम करना है। मेरा एक काम करोगे आप लोग? जरा माताएं-बहने बताएं करेंगे? जरा नौजवान बताएं करेंगे? वहां जो नौजवान है, आप वहीं खड़े रहिए। अब जगह नहीं है। आप आगे बढ़ ही नहीं सकते। आप जहां है वहीं खड़े रहिए। मेरी आवाज आप तक पहुंचेगी। आप मुझे देख नहीं पाएंगे। इसके लिए मैं आपकी क्षमा मांगता हूं। लेकिन मेरी आपसे प्रार्थना है। आप जहां है वहीं रुकिए। आगे जगह ही नहीं है। मेरा एक काम करोगे? जरा हाथ ऊपर करके बताइए करोगे? हमारे जो बिहार के भाई-बहन छठ महापर्व के लिए गांव आए हैं, उनको मिलना और उनको कहना कि मोदी जी आए थे और मोदी जी ने कहा है कि अगर आपका वोट यहां है तो वोट दिए बिना जाना नहीं है। यह मेरी बात पहुंचा दोगे? यह मेरा संदेश उनको दे दोगे? देखिए, मैं देख रहा हूं माताएं-बहनें ज्यादा उत्साहित हैं। आप इतना सारा काम कर रहे हैं। तो आइए मेरे साथ कहिए। मैं कहूंगा फिर एक बार आप कहिएगा एनडीए सरकार। फिर एक बार, फिर एक बार, फिर एक बार, बिहार में फिर से सुशासन सरकार।

साथियों,

बिहार की जनता राजनीति की पारखी है। जो कहा जाता है बिहार की जनता उससे आगे की बात समझ जाती है। आप आरजेडी-कांग्रेस के पोस्टरों को देखिए, जो सालों-साल तक यहां मुख्यमंत्री रहे, जो बिहार में जंगलराज लाए, उनकी तस्वीरें पोस्टरों में या तो गायब हैं या तो एक कोने में छोटी सी तस्वीर लगी है, दूरबीन से भी दिखती नहीं है। अब मुझे बताइए भाई, जो इतने बड़े उनके लिए नेता थे, जिनके परिवार के सारे लोग चुनाव के मैदान में हैं और फिर ये छुपा छुपाई क्यों हो रही है? अरे अपने पिता का नाम बोलने में छपवाने में शर्म क्यों आ रही है? वो कौन सा पाप है जिसको आरजेडी वालों को बिहार के नौजवानों से छुपाना पड़ रहा है। साथियों, आपने एक और चीज भी नोटिस की होगी। इन लोगों के पोस्टरों से कांग्रेस लगभग गायब है। RJD ने कांग्रेस को कट्टा दिखाकर मुख्यमंत्री का उम्मीदवार भी घोषित करवा लिया और अब कांग्रेस को उसकी हैसियत भी दिखाई जा रही है। कांग्रेस के जो नामदार कुछ हफ्तों पहले तक बिहार में बड़े-बड़े दावे कर रहे थे उनकी तस्वीर और दावे, दोनों को पोस्टर में से भी और घोषणापत्र में भी, आरजेडी ने बौना बना दिया है। आजकल आप ये भी देख रहे होंगे कि जो वादे, जो घोषणाएं RJD के नेता कर रहे हैं, कांग्रेस के लोग ही उन पर विश्वास नहीं कर रहे। जब मीडिया के लोग कांग्रेस के नेताओं के मुंह में उंगली डाल डाल के बुलवाते हैं। मीडिया वाले बार-बार पूछते हैं, घोषणा पत्र बताइए। भाई क्या बताना चाहते हो? जब भी घोषणा पत्र की बात आती है, यह कांग्रेस वाले क्या करते हैं? वो कहते हैं भाई घोषणा पत्र के लिए जो पूछना है, वो जंगल राज के युवराज से पूछो। हमें मत पूछो। साथियों, यह हाल है इनका। कांग्रेस और आरजेडी के बीच लंबे समय से एक भीषण झगड़ा चल रहा है। कांग्रेस के नामदार ने छठ महापर्व को इसलिए भी ड्रामा बताया ताकि बिहार के लोग RJD पर गुस्सा उतारें और RJD को पराजित करें। इसलिए ऐसी बातें बोली जा रही है। कांग्रेस के जो दूसरे-दूसरे राज्यों के मुख्यमंत्री हैं, बड़े नेता हैं, उनके बयान आपने सुने होंगे। अलग-अलग राज्यों में कांग्रेस के नेताओं से बिहार के लोगों के लिए जानबूझकर अपमानजनक बातें बुलवाई जा रही है। केरला के कांग्रेस नेता ने, उसने तो बिहार की तुलना बीड़ी से कर दी। यह भी कांग्रेस की रणनीति का हिस्सा है। जो बिहारियों को प्रताड़ित करते हैं। तमिलनाडु के डीएमके के जो नेता बिहारियों को गालियां देते हैं। उनको कांग्रेस ने बिहार चुनाव में प्रचार के लिए बुलाया ताकि आरजेडी को आपके गुस्से का सामना करना पड़े। साथियों, कांग्रेस जानती है कि इस बार भी आरजेडी हार गई तो उसकी राजनीति खत्म हो जाएगी और कांग्रेस आरजेडी के वोट बैंक पर कब्जा कर लेगी। एक दूसरों का वोट बैंक छीनने की ये खींचतान अब खुलकर के सामने आ गई है। आप देखिएगा, बिहार चुनाव में हारने के बाद कैसे आरजेडी कांग्रेस में गालियों का दौर शुरू होता है।

साथियों,

बिहार का ये चुनाव बिहार को विकसित बनाने के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण चुनाव है। और विकसित बिहार का मतलब है हर परिवार की समृद्धि। आपके परिवार की समृद्धि। आपके बच्चों की भलाई। विकसित बिहार बनाने के लिए एनडीए की डबल इंजन सरकार बहुत ही जरूरी है। मैं आपको एक उदाहरण देता हूं। आप भी जानते हैं कि केंद्र सरकार देश के हर राज्य में गरीबों के लिए पक्के घर बनाने के लिए मदद करती है। लेकिन जहां-जहां एनडीए की सरकार है। वहां तो घर बनाने का काम तेजी से चल रहा है। लेकिन जहां कांग्रेस की सरकार है या कांग्रेस के साथियों की सरकार है, वह इस पूरी योजना को डिब्बे में बंद करके बैठ गए हैं। गरीबों के लिए घर बनने नहीं देते हैं। उनको लगता है कि गरीबों के लिए घर बनेगा तो यह तो मोदी का जय जयकार करेंगे और इसलिए कांग्रेस की सरकारें गरीबों को घर बनने नहीं देती है। और इसलिए गरीबों के घर बनाने के लिए भी, पक्के घर बनाने के लिए मुझे आपके आशीर्वाद चाहिए। मेरे साथियों के लिए आशीर्वाद चाहिए। आप देखिए बिहार में 60 लाख पक्के घर गरीबों को मिल चुके हैं। यहां कटिहार जिले में ही करीब एक लाख गरीबों को पक्के घर मिले हैं। यानि डबल इंजन सरकार, तेज़ी से गरीबों के पक्के घर बना रही है।

साथियों,

ऐसे ही बिहार के किसान को भी डबल इंजन सरकार का डबल लाभ हो रहा है। केंद्र सरकार, हर साल छह हज़ार रुपए सीधे किसान के बैंक खाते में जमा कर रही है। अब बिहार NDA ने इसमें तीन हजार रुपए और जोड़ने की घोषणा की है। यानि यहां जब फिर से NDA सरकार बनेगी, तो बिहार के किसानों को कुल नौ हजार रुपया मिलने वाले हैं। साथियों, हमारी बहनों-बेटियों को भी डबल इंजन सरकार डबल शक्ति दे रही है। नीतीश जी ने अगर बेटियों को साइकिल दी तो मोदी ने बेटियों को ड्रोन पायलट बनाने की योजना बनाई। नीतीश जी ने, जीविका दीदियों के रूप में बहनों को सशक्त किया। तो मोदी लखपति दीदी के रूप में, बिहार की लाखों बहनों को लखपति बनाने में जुटा है। केंद्र की मुद्रा योजना से बिहार की लाखों बहनों को स्वरोजगार के लिए बैंक से मदद मिल रही है। वहीं नीतीश जी के नेतृत्व में मुख्यमंत्री रोजगार योजना से बिहार की बहनों के खाते में दस-दस हज़ार रुपए पहुंच रहे हैं। अभी तक एक करोड़ चालीस लाख बहनों के खाते में पैसा आ चुका है। साथियों, डबल इंजन की NDA सरकार का एक बहुत बड़ा फायदा है। फायदा ये कि दिल्ली और पटना से निकला एक-एक रुपया, एक-एक पाई सीधी-सीधी आपके खातों तक पहुंचती है। कोई चोर-लुटेरे लूट नहीं सकते, वरना यहां एक बिहार का सबसे भ्रष्ट परिवार है। और दूसरा, देश का सबसे भ्रष्ट परिवार है। आपके हक का पैसा RJD और कांग्रेस वाले आप तक पहुंचने ही नहीं देते। ये आपके हक का पैसा भी लूट लेते।

साथियों,

सीमांचल का ये इलाका हमारी सभ्यता, हमारी संस्कृति का प्रहरी रहा है। लेकिन पिछले कई बरसों से यहां एक खतरनाक साज़िश चल रही है। ये साजिश घुसपैठ की है। अररिया हो, किशनगंज हो, पूर्णिया हो या कटिहार, हर जगह ये कोशिश हुई कि यहां की आबादी का संतुलन बदल दिया जाए। कुछ वोट पाने के लिए, आरजेडी और कांग्रेस बिहार को खतरे में डाल रहे हैं। आपके बच्चों के भविष्य को खतरे में डाल रहे हैं। आपकी बेटियों की जिंदगी को खतरे में डाल रहे हैं। ये लोग वोट पाने के लिए देश की सुरक्षा से खिलवाड़ कर रहे हैं। आप मुझे बताइए साथियों, गरीब, दलित, महादलित, पिछड़े, अति पिछड़े उनको जो मुफ्त राशन मिल रहा है क्या यह मुफ्त राशन आपको मिलना चाहिए कि घुसपैठियों को मिलना चाहिए? घुसपैठियों को मिलना चाहिए क्या? घुसपैठियों को मिलना चाहिए क्या? आपके हक हक का अनाज घुसपैठियों को दे देना चाहिए क्या? आपका चूल्हा जलना चाहिए कि नहीं जलना चाहिए? आपके बच्चों को रोटी मिलनी चाहिए कि नहीं मिलनी चाहिए? आपके बुजुर्गों को खाना मिलना चाहिए कि नहीं मिलना चाहिए? घुसपैठियों को देना चाहते हैं। मुफ्त इलाज की जो सुविधा पांच लाख रुपये तक आप लोगों को मुफ्त इलाज मिले। मुफ्त आपकी बीमारी से मुक्ति मिले। आप लोगों को मिल रहा है। अब मुझे बताइए, आपको बीमारी में जो मदद मिल रही है वो घुसपैठियों को चली जाए तो आपको मंजूर है? क्या घुसपैठियों को मिलनी चाहिए क्या? अति पिछड़ों, महादलितों के टोलों पर घुसपैठियों का कब्जा। आप मुझे बताइए, ये घुसपैठियों को कब्जा करने देंगे क्या? घुसपैठियों को कब्जा करने देंगे क्या? आपके हिस्से का काम, आपका रोजगार कोई घुसपैठियां ले ले तो आपको चलेगा क्या? आपके बच्चों का भविष्य ले ले तो चलेगा क्या? साथियों, बिहार के देश के संसाधनों पर सिर्फ और सिर्फ भारत के नागरिकों का ही हक है। बिहार के हमारे नागरिकों का ही हक है। आपका ही हक है। यह हक हम किसी को चुराने नहीं देंगे। लेकिन कांग्रेस और आरजेडी के लोगों को कट्टा और कट्टरपंथी यही पसंद है। जब भी भाजपा एनडीए घुसपैठियों को देश से बाहर करने की बात करते हैं। यह तुरंत घुसपैठियों के बचाव में खड़े हो जाते हैं। साथियों, कट्टरपंथियों के दबाव में इन्होंने तीन तलाक के खिलाफ कठोर कानून का विरोध किया था और कट्टरपंथियों का एजेंडा पूरा करने के लिए ये नए वक्फ कानून को कूड़ेदान में फेंकने की बात कर रहे हैं। आप कल्पना कर सकते हैं, संविधान के तहत देश की संसद का बनाया कानून ये कूड़ेदान में फेंकना चाहते हैं। आरजेडी-कांग्रेस की सच्चाई यही है कि ये दोनों ही कट्टरपंथियों के आगे घुटने टेक चुके हैं। इसलिए बिहार को बचाने के लिए आपको आरजेडी-कांग्रेस सरकार से हजारों मील दूर रखना है।

साथियों,

लालटेन वाले, पंजे वाले, लाल झंडे वाले, इन लोगों ने बिहार को दशकों तक बेहाल रखा। क्योंकि इनके एजेंडे में कभी विकास था ही नहीं। नीतीश जी के नेतृत्व में, NDA ने बिहार को सुशासन दिया, विकास दिया। जंगलराज में जहां निराशा थी, हताशा थी, वहीं सुशासन में नए सपने हैं, नए संकल्प हैं। लोगों का हम पर अट्ट भरोसा है कि NDA सरकार ही आपकी आकांक्षा पूरी कर सकती है। इसलिए जहां रेल पहुंची है वहां आज तेज़ गति की वंदे भारत ट्रेन की मांग हो रही है। जहां सड़कें पहुंची है वहां एक्सप्रेसवे की मांग हो रही है। जहां छोटे अस्पताल खुले हैं वहां सुपर स्पेशिएलिटी हॉस्पिटल की मांग हो रही है। इसलिए आजकल मजबूरी में RJD को भी विकास की झूठी बातें करने की नौबत आई है। वर्ना इनका इतिहास विकास विरोधी रहा है। बिहार की आज की पीढ़ी को जानना चाहिए, तब लोग मांग करते थे कि सड़क चाहिए तो RJD कहती थी कि सड़क बनेगी तो हादसों का खतरा होगा। उस समय लोग मांग करते थे कि बिजली आनी चाहिए तो RJD के लोग कहते थे, अरे बिजली आएगी, करंट लग जाएगा, लोग मर जाएंगे। तब लोग गुहार लगाते थे कि बाढ़ से बचाइए तो RJD वाले कहते थे कि अरे पानी घर में घुसना तो अच्छी बात होती है। साथियों, लालटेन युग का यही सच है। RJD के लोग गरीब-गुरबा, दलित-महादलित, पिछड़े-अतिपिछड़े के टोलों में जाकर लोगों को विकास का डर दिखाते थे। RJD की सोच का ये हाल था तभी बिहार बेहाल था। साथियों, जंगलराज वालों की इसी सोच की वजह से हमारे कटिहार में विकास नहीं हुआ। और फिर कांग्रेस-आरजेडी ने इसको पिछड़ा जिला घोषित करके पल्ला झाड़ दिया। जब किसी अफसर ने कोई गुनाह किया हो या किसी अफसर के साथ उनकी बनती न हो, पटती न हो, और अफसर को अगर सजा देनी होती थी न तो उसे कटिहार भेज देते थे। साथियों, जब 2014 में आपने मोदी को अपनी सेवा का मौका दिया तो मैंने तय किया कि आपको ऐसे मुश्किलों में नहीं रहने दूंगा। इसलिए हमारी सरकार ने कटिहार को पिछड़े जिले से निकाल करके आकांक्षी जिला घोषित किया। यहां मिशन मोड पर विकास के काम शुरु किए। आज यहां हाईवे का, रेलवे का, जाल बिछ रहा है। यहां पड़ोस में जिस पूर्णिया को काले पानी की सजी मिली हुई थी, अब यहां एयरपोर्ट बनने से इस पूरे क्षेत्र को सीमांचल को बहुत फायदा हो रहा है।

साथियों,

ये चुनाव बिहार के नौजवानों के लिए बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। आपको याद रखना है, कट्टा, क्रूरता, कटुता, कुसंस्कार, कुशासन और करप्शन, यही RJD की पहचान है। आप बताइए साथियों, जिनका रिकॉर्ड रंगदारी, फिरौती और अपहरण का है, मिलें और फैक्ट्रियों में ताला लगाने का है, ये लोग क्या सीमांचल में उद्योग ला सकते हैं क्या? ऐसे लोग, नौजवानों को रोजगार दे सकते हैं? NDA ने एक करोड़ रोजगार देने की घोषणा की है। इतना ही नहीं, रोजगार कैसे देंगे, इसका प्लान भी बताया है। साथियों, NDA, का रास्ता आत्मनिर्भरता का है, मेड इन इंडिया का है। कोसी-सीमांचल के अनेकों नौजवान आने वाले समय में उद्यमी बनेंगे। राष्ट्रीय मखाना बोर्ड बनाने के पीछे, हमारा यही लक्ष्य है। मखाना किसानों की मदद के लिए हमारी सरकार ने सैकड़ों करोड़ रुपए का प्रावधान भी किया है। साथियों, इस क्षेत्र में बाढ़ की समस्या कम हो, हर खेत तक सिंचाई की सुविधा पहुंचे, मखाना और मछली की पैदावार बढ़े, ये NDA सरकार की बहुत बड़ी प्राथमिकता है। इसके लिए, हमारी सरकार ने कोसी और मेचि नदी को जोड़ने का प्रोजेक्ट शुरू किया है। इस परियोजना से कटिहार के साथ-साथ अररिया, पूर्णिया और किशनगंज जिलों के लोगों को बहुत फायदा होगा। कटिहार की इस धरती से पूरे सीमांचल को भरोसा दिलाता हूं कि आने वाले समय में इस क्षेत्र की पहचान पलायन के बजाय प्रगति के द्वार के रूप में होगी। बिहार का युवा बिहार में ही काम करेगा, बिहार का नाम करेगा।

साथियों,

अब बिहार को रुकने नहीं देना है। प्रगति की रफ्तार को थमने नहीं देना है। मैं बिहार के हर बेटा-बेटी से कहूंगा, आपके माता-पिता के एक वोट ने जंगलराज को सुशासन में बदला है। अब आपके एक वोट से सुशासन वाला बिहार, विकसित बिहार बनेगा। आपके माता-पिता ने जिम्मेवारी निभाई। आज भी निभाते हैं। अब यह जिम्मेवारी निभाने का काम मेरे नौजवानों के सर पर भी आया है। आप सभी को एनडीए के इन साथियों को विजय बनाना है। मेरे इन साथियों को आपने आशीर्वाद देना है। जो उम्मीदवार हैं जरा आगे आ जाएं। बस यहीं रुक जाए। मैं आपके पास आऊंगा। आपके आशीर्वाद उनको ताकत देंगे। मैं आपके पास इनके लिए आशीर्वाद मांगने के लिए आया हूं। आप इतनी विराट जन समूह यह विजय निश्चित कर रहा है।

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today interacted virtually with participants of the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme 2026, during which young MYBharat Volunteers shared their experiences from border villages in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh. The interaction highlighted the transformation of these villages through improved infrastructure, connectivity and public services, along with women-led development, tourism, community participation and stronger national integration. More than 5,000 MYBharat Volunteers from 245 districts across the country joined the programme virtually.

Introducing the programme, MYBharat Volunteer Shri Divyansh Joshi from Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu outlined initiatives including the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, Budget Twist, mentorship and volunteering programmes. He said more than 2.30 crore young people had benefitted from MYBharat initiatives, while 2.86 lakh youth participated in the nationwide quiz through which 403 volunteers were selected to visit border villages. Recounting his visit to Leo village in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, he highlighted interactions with residents, senior citizens and schoolchildren, career counselling for local youth, sports and cultural activities, the leadership of the woman Sarpanch and the functioning of the Ayushman Arogya Mandir. He said his homestay experience showed that belonging transcends language and State boundaries, adding that the volunteers paid homage to the country’s brave soldiers at the Kargil War Memorial and would compile their experiences for submission to the Prime Minister while remaining committed to the vision of Viksit Bharat.

MYBharat Volunteer Ms Nikita Pravin Solanki from Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu said her selection through the MYBharat quiz enabled her first independent journey to Dhar Chango Nichla village in Kinnaur district. The affectionate welcome extended by the villagers strengthened her confidence and reflected changing societal attitudes towards women. Through her interactions with the woman Pradhan, Panchayat representatives, farmers, senior citizens and children, she witnessed the multiple responsibilities shouldered by rural women and found, contrary to her earlier perceptions, quality roads, regular electricity, drinking-water connections and digital connectivity, which residents attributed to the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission and Ayushman Bharat. She also participated in cleanliness, sports and cultural activities, recalled the curiosity of village children about her home region and said she continued to remain in touch with her host family.

Recalling his Diwali visit to the Chango region in 2016, the Prime Minister said Ms Solanki’s journey reflected the growing confidence of India’s daughters and that MYBharat had transformed individual journeys into one national family. “Solo travelling is a way of discovering the world while discovering yourself,” observed Shri Modi.

MYBharat Volunteer Shri Sunil Kumar Kela from Jalore, Rajasthan, said that being from a border village himself enabled him to connect readily with the people of Dhar Chango Uprela village in Himachal Pradesh. Despite geographical and climatic differences, he found the people of both regions united by courage, patriotism and warmth. He remained connected with his family through video calls, showing them the Sutlej River, school, Jan Aushadhi Kendra, hospital and sports facilities, while his social-media posts encouraged friends to explore MYBharat. His initial apprehensions regarding roads, accommodation, electricity and mobile connectivity were dispelled by the high-quality roads reaching the homestay, solar-energy installations and improved infrastructure that had transformed daily life. He added that he remained in contact with his host family and had invited them to visit Rajasthan.

The Prime Minister observed that young people from border villages across Rajasthan, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and the North-East shared a common outlook and that border residents, though geographically distant, remained emotionally deeply connected with the nation. “Those who were last in priority earlier are now the first,” remarked Shri Modi.

MYBharat Volunteer Ms Bhavya Shri from Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh said her desire to learn beyond academics led her to MYBharat and to Harsil Valley in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. Her initial concerns about the unfamiliar climate, food, culture and lifestyle were dispelled by the hospitality of local residents and officials, while interactions with Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel deepened her appreciation of their discipline, humility, dedication and commitment to the nation. She said participants from different States, languages and cultures arrived as strangers but returned as one family, reflecting the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat. Photographs of the Nelang and Jadung Valleys and apple orchards generated considerable interest among her friends, many of whom subsequently registered on MYBharat. She also recalled the equipment provided to help participants adapt to the cold climate, the resilience of a resident who chose to remain in his landslide-affected native village despite hardship, and the peaceful, meditative character of the Garhwali dance in contrast with the energetic folk dances of her home State.

Recalling his visit to Mukhwa village in Uttarakhand, the Prime Minister said the interaction reaffirmed his belief that India’s youth place the nation first. “The manner in which all of you have lived the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat will inspire many more young people,” observed Shri Modi.

Twenty-one-year-old MYBharat Volunteer Ms Sayantika Mistry from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands thanked the Prime Minister for envisioning MYBharat as a platform enabling crores of young people to contribute to nation-building. Recounting her journey from sea level to Maan village in Ladakh at an altitude of nearly 17,000 feet, she described suffering from acute mountain sickness and the care extended by the MYBharat team and ITBP personnel, including doctors who prioritised treating her as their guest before attending to their own personnel. She said the experience showed that ITBP personnel not only protected the borders but also cared deeply for citizens and made her appreciate the resilience required to live in high-altitude conditions. Contrary to her family’s expectation of poor connectivity, she found reliable internet, QR-code and UPI payment facilities and Wi-Fi in the border region. She also interacted with local children, one of whom expressed a desire to visit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and highlighted the community spirit through which residents collectively organised weddings and monastery events, restored a damaged mobile tower and constructed a storage facility for its batteries.

Encouraging Ms Mistry to document her experience through articles or a book so that others could better understand the country’s vastness, people and shared sense of belonging, Shri Modi remarked, “When you share joy, it multiplies.”

MYBharat Volunteer Shri Ashish Soni from Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh, who is preparing for the Civil Services Examination, thanked the Prime Minister for enabling young people to contribute suggestions during the Budget-making process. Sharing his experience of Kaza Khas in Himachal Pradesh’s Spiti region, he said his parents, who remembered a time when mobile connectivity in remote areas was difficult, were astonished when he video-called them from nearly 14,000 feet. Describing MYBharat as a bridge between a generation that had witnessed struggle and another witnessing transformation, he recounted writing letters from the world’s highest post office at Hikkim to the Prime Minister, his family, the Ministry of Youth Affairs, the Defence Minister and his District Magistrate. He said India was connected not only through metros and airports but also through institutions serving its remotest regions and highlighted QR-code payments at around 14,500 feet as evidence that Digital India had become a source of trust across the country. His interactions with women’s self-help groups introduced him to entrepreneurship through homestays, digital platforms and sea buckthorn-based products, while discussions on the PM MUDRA Yojana and Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana focused on expanding livelihood opportunities. He also highlighted the role of the Border Roads Organisation-built Chicham Bridge in improving connectivity, tourism and economic activity, besides noting the region’s potential for night tourism.

Observing that technology had reached every corner of the country and that purchasing local products would generate employment, support livelihoods and carry regional identities across India, Shri Modi urged, “Wherever you travel, spend at least five per cent of your travel budget on buying products from local people.”

Concluding the interaction, the Prime Minister extended his best wishes to the young participants. The programme highlighted MYBharat’s role in enabling young people to experience first-hand the transformation of India’s border villages, dispel outdated perceptions and deepen their understanding of the country’s cultural diversity, developmental progress, community participation and the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.
