Sashastra Seema Bal, SRM University and ITC make donations for PMNRF

The Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal, Shri B.D. Sharma, called on the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, and handed over a demand draft of Rs 2.12 crore towards the Prime Minister`s National Relief Fund, for flood-affected people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sashastra Seema Bal-684 The Founder Chancellor, SRM University, Chennai, Dr. T.R. Pachamuthu, called on the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, and handed over a demand draft for Rs. 1 crore for the Prime Minister`s National Relief Fund.

SRM University-684 The Chairman, ITC, Shri Y.C. Deveshwar, called on the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, and handed over a cheque for Rs. 10 crore for the Prime Minister`s National Relief Fund. The employees of ITC have also contributed a day`s salary to the Prime Minister`s National Relief Fund.

ITC-684 The Prime Minister had recently appealed to the people to donate generously to the Prime Minister`s National Relief Fund, for the flood-affected people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has condoled passing of Shri Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa Ji, today. "He was a towering statesman with great wisdom and an unwavering commitment to public service. He always had a grassroots level connect with Punjab, its people and culture", Shri Modi stated.

The Prime Minister posted on X :

"The passing of Shri Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa Ji is a major loss to our nation. He was a towering statesman with great wisdom and an unwavering commitment to public service. He always had a grassroots level connect with Punjab, its people and culture. He championed issues like rural development, social justice and all-round growth. He always worked to make our social fabric even stronger. I had the privilege of knowing him for many years, interacting closely on various issues. My thoughts are with his family and supporters in this sad hour."
