The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today visited Shauryanjali, a commemorative exhibition on the Golden Jubilee of the 1965 war, at the Rajpath lawns in New Delhi.

The exhibition is an ode to the valour and sacrifice of Indian Armed Forces personnel protecting the borders of the country.

The Prime Minister visited the exhibits and recreations of the battle scene in various sectors. He met some of the veterans of the 1965 war. The Chiefs of the Army, Navy and Air Force were present on the occasion. Several senior Union Ministers were also present.

"The valour and sacrifice of our armed forces during the 1965 war remains etched in the memory of every Indian. We are very proud of them," the Prime Minister later tweeted.

Prime Minister shares Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the transformative power of true knowledge

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, said that true knowledge paves the way for the welfare of the nation, society and the entire humanity. He noted that it is important that our knowledge and actions become a source of inspiration for all humankind.

The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-

“आत्मा शुद्धः सदा नित्यः सुखरूपः स्वयम्प्रभः।

अज्ञानान्मलिनो भाति ज्ञानाच्छुद्धो भवत्ययम्‌।। ”

The Subhashitam conveys that the the Ātman is by nature always pure, eternal, blissful, and self-luminous. However, because of ignorance, it appears impure; through true knowledge, it once again reveals its pure nature.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

“सच्चा ज्ञान देश, समाज और समस्त मानवता के कल्याण का मार्ग प्रशस्त करता है। इसलिए यह जरूरी है कि हमारा ज्ञान और हमारे कर्म पूरी मानवता के लिए प्रेरणा बनें।
