PM condoles loss of lives due to a mishap at a public meeting in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh

Announces ex-gratia from PMNRF

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives due to a mishap at a public meeting in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.

The Prime Minister has also announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 Lakhs to the next kin of deceased and Rs. 50,000 to those injured in the mishap from Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF).

The Prime Minister Office tweeted;

"Pained by the mishap at a public meeting in Nellore, AP. Condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover soon. An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased and the injured would be given Rs. 50,000: PM @narendramodi"

Prime Minister expresses joy on the commencement of 20th Session of UNESCO’s Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage in India

The Prime Minister has expressed immense joy on the commencement of the 20th Session of the Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO in India. He said that the forum has brought together delegates from over 150 nations with a shared vision to protect and popularise living traditions across the world.

The Prime Minister stated that India is glad to host this important gathering, especially at the historic Red Fort. He added that the occasion reflects India’s commitment to harnessing the power of culture to connect societies and generations.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;
