Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) karyakartas at the party headquarters in New Delhi today after the party's landslide victory in assembly elections 2022. PM Modi thanked the people of these states and the BJP Karyakartas for their wholehearted support and assured them of greater progress in the years to come. He said, “First time voters took part in elections with great enthusiasm and ensured BJP's victory. During elections, BJP karyakartas promised me that Holi celebrations would start from March 10. They fulfilled their promise.”

Thanking all the voters for participating in this festival of democracy and ensuring BJP this victory, PM Modi said, “Our karyakartas worked 24*7 and were successful in winning the trust of the people across states. It's a ‘Jeet Ka Chowka’ by our NDA karyakartas. For the first time in 37 years, a government has won 2nd consecutive term in Uttar Pradesh. For the first time, a CM will be elected for a second term. The results strongly vindicate BJP's pro-poor and pro-active governance.”

PM Modi highlighted the increase in BJP's vote share in Manipur, Uttar Pradesh and Goa, even after being incumbent. He said all exit polls were proven incorrect in Goa, and the people of Goa have given BJP the chance to serve them for the third consecutive time.

He further thanked karyakartas of Punjab for putting an exceptional effort in the state assembly elections and said, “I can already see BJP emerging as 'A force to reckon' with, in Punjab... Our Punjab workers have made the party and our flag proud with their work in Punjab despite difficult circumstances.”

Taking a dig at the opposition, PM Modi said, “For the great good of the country, let's give up the older ways… Start thinking afresh.” He also lauded women participation in these elections, he said, “The women have played a crucial role in these elections across states. They have blessed us - we've won splendidly in areas where women voters have dominated. Our Nari Shakti have been our partners in this victory. When I was in Gujarat, people used to worry about my safety sometimes. I used to tell them 'Koti koti maataon ka, stree shakti ka mujhe kawach mila hai'."

Addressing the massive crowd of supporters and party karyakartas gathered to hear their leader, PM Modi stated, “When we formed the government in 2019 (at Centre), experts said it was because of the 2017 victory (in UP). I believe the same political experts will say that 2022 election result will decide the fate of 2024 national elections.”

Talking about the Russia-Ukraine crisis, the Prime Minister remarked, “The ongoing war is affecting every country across the world. India believes that problems can be resolved only with peace. We hope that all problems will be resolved with deliberations. India has a connection with countries involved in the war - economically, security-wise, education wise and politically as well. India's several needs are connected to these countries.”

Slamming the opposition, PM Modi asserted, “It is unfortunate that even when thousands of Indians were stranded in Ukraine, some were trying to malign Operation Ganga. These people tried to regionalise the mission. These people have given a different colour of regionalism and communalism to every scheme - it is a major worry for India's future.”

PM Modi expressed his pleasure and reiterated his confidence in the voter’s instinct and resolute to vote for a government that has uplifted the lives of the poor. PM Modi said, “The sun has started to set for ‘Pariwarvad’ politics in India, today's election results have decided that.”

PM Modi also spoke on the issue of some people aiding and abetting corruption in the country. He said, “People who are surrounded by scams unite and start pressurizing institutions. These people, along with their ecosystem, find new ways to stop the investigating agencies.” PM Modi further added that the people who stop the investigation agencies are the same people who do not believe in India’s Judicial System and start to take shelter in the colour of religion and caste. PM Modi advised people to not let these offenders take shelter in their caste and religion.

Talking about the vision for the next 25 years of India, PM Modi said, “From here on, we're going to work on two tracks at once. On one hand, our emphasis will be on the welfare of the poor, small farmers and small entrepreneurs. On the other hand, by giving new opportunities to the country's resources and the youth power of the country, we want to accelerate the mission of self-reliance.”

PM Modi exemplified a few instances of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, he said, “Today India is becoming self-reliant in digital payment systems, increasing its potential in the field of startups and making new achievements in the field of technology. All this is happening because of the power of the youth…Today such a new India is being built, where you are identified by your work and not by your family.”

PM Modi finally addressed the importance of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’ in developing each and every corner of the country. PM Modi said, “We have to work together and not waste a single moment. Challenges are tough but we have to overcome them and take the country forward.”
