The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today dedicated the Kishanganga Hydropower Station to the nation at a function in Srinagar. 

He also laid the foundation stone of the Srinagar Ring Road.

Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister recalled the various occasions in the past four years when he had visited the State of Jammu and Kashmir. 

He said that the month of Ramzan is the time to recall the teachings and message of Prophet Muhammad. 

The Prime Minister said that the 330 MW Kishanganga Hydropower project would go a long way in fulfilling the electricity requirements of the State.

He emphasized the need for balanced development of all three regions of the State - Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh.

PM to inaugurate Param Pragya, an AI-powered high-performance supercomputing facility established at Sonipat Campus of IIT Delhi

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in the 57th Convocation Ceremony of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi as the Chief Guest on 8 August 2026 at 11 AM. He will address over 3000 graduating students including 587 Ph.D. scholars who will be conferred their degrees during the ceremony.

Recognizing outstanding academic excellence, Prime Minister will present the Institute's most prestigious honours, including the President's Gold Medal, Director's Gold Medal, Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal, and Perfect Ten Gold Medals to the meritorious students.

Further emphasising India's commitment to advancing cutting-edge research and artificial intelligence, Prime Minister will inaugurate Param Pragya, an AI-powered high-performance supercomputing facility established at the Sonipat Campus of IIT Delhi. The state-of-the-art facility is expected to significantly enhance the institute's capabilities in AI, data science, advanced computing, and interdisciplinary research.
