The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated Ms. Mirabai Chanu on winning gold at the World Weightlifting Championship.

“India is proud of Mirabai Chanu, who has won a gold at the World Weightlifting Championship. Congratulations and best wishes for her future endeavours.”, the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit subhashitam today, highlighting the divine and benevolent grace of Goddess Brahmacharini.

The Prime Minister wrote on X:

"मां ब्रह्मचारिणी के चरणों में कोटि-कोटि नमन! देवी मां सभी भक्तों पर अपनी कृपा बनाए रखें।

दधाना करपद्माभ्यामक्षमालाकमण्डलू।
देवी प्रसीदतु मयि ब्रह्मचारिण्यनुत्तमा॥"

The Goddess who holds a rosary and a water pot in her lotus-like hands—may that supremely exalted Goddess Brahmacharini be gracious to me.
