Opencast League technique to be used for coal extraction

For the work of carbonaceous cell in Surendra Nagar's Junagadh, Chotila and Mudi areas Chief Minister Narendra Modi took intrepid decisions by giving the permission to use scientific approach for tightening the security of coal mine workers.

To prevent the accidental deaths of child laborers working in the mines and to stop the unsecured ways used for extracting coal, Minister for Industries Shri Saurabh Bhai Patel intimated Chief Minister about the risk involved and to take decisions for developing the ceramic industry of Than – Chotila.

Chief Minister Narendra Modi informed that from now onwards the Mines Act will be applicable to ensure the safety of workers of coal mines and to maintain the ratio of the employment opportunity, scientific techniques will be adopted. The open cast techniques will be used for mining coal that will thwart the unsafe methods of getting coal from coal mines. This decision will also help in ceasing the illegal, unsafe ways of getting coal from fire cell, mines of silica sand area near Than-chotila area. Besides this, it will also create an atmosphere of fair competition and will help in obtaining coal at more economical rates.

Prime Minister expresses grief over mishap in Coimbatore

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has expressed deep anguish over the mishap in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Shri Modi said that he is distressed to hear about the incident and extended his heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the mishap.

The Prime Minister’s Office posted on X;
