CM speaks about development in solar energy in Gujarat

Shri Narendra Modi addressed massive public meetings in North Gujarat on the morning of Friday 7th December 2012. The Chief Minster spoke at Zeda in Banaskantha district followed by Sami in Patan district. Shri Modi said that the Congress ruled for years but never looked at the people and that is the reason that the people have rejected them for so many years. He stated that political pundits say there is no wave in Gujarat but he has travelled the entire state and he sees a super storm in favour of the BJP!

Shri Modi talked about the development in Gujarat over the past decade. He pointed out that people were hearing for years that the Narmada waters will come but nothing of that sort happened. It is this Government that brought the waters of the Narmada. “If the Narmada waters would have come 25-30 years ago imagine what would have happened?” he asked. Shri Modi added, “After the Narmada waters coming there is a difference. Good days have come, the farmers are happy. We have given water to every field and every village.”

Similarly, the Chief Minister pointed out that this region is known for its scorching heat but it now the Gujarat Government has turned this into an opportunity making this region a solar hub. He also talked about the creation of a new Shankheshwar Taluka, which will help the people of Shankheshwar and the people of Sami.

The Chief Minister said that the entire world has praised the development in Gujarat but all the Congress believes in is abusing him everyday. Commenting on the Congress culture, Shri Modi stated that even if the Congress built a hand pump in a village, they would use it for the next 4 elections! He shared that when the Congress was in power the power subsidy to Gujarat was worth Rs. 300 crore whereas now under the BJP Government that has gone up to Rs. 3000 crore.

Shri Modi came down heavily on the Congress’ argument that the development in Gujarat is due to the money from Delhi. He affirmed that Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh are coming to Gujarat and they will say that the development in Gujarat is due to money from Delhi. But, he asked them to also say what is the contribution of Gujarat to the treasury of Delhi. “Every year the people of Gujarat contribute Rs. 60,000 crore to Delhi & you give a few thousand crores and then say ‘Delhi is sending!’” he affirmed.Recalling former PM Rajiv Gandhi’s statement that out of a Rupee only 15p reaches the villages, Shri Modi questioned which was the Hand that was taking away the rest of the amount?

He made a strong appeal to the people to make the BJP victorious in the upcoming elections and called for the anti-Gujarat Congress to be uprooted from the state. He stated that in the last 11 years he has not taken a single day of rest and has devoted every moment of his life to the service of the people of Gujarat. Shri Modi also pointed that he has come to a land where he has grown up, he is familiar with the problems the people here faced and has got the opportunity to serve the people. Bravingthe scorching heat a large number of people gathered at both the venues to hear Shri Modi and extend solidarity with the BJP.

PM Modi says with the blessings of Ma Ganga, the river of development will now flow in Bengal as well, and the BJP will make this happen

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a massive public rally in Malda, West Bengal, highlighting the pivotal role of Eastern India in shaping a Viksit Bharat by 2047. He underscored that Eastern India was long shackled by those who thrived on divisive politics, whereas the BJP has freed the region from such constraints.

Touching upon political shifts in the East, PM Modi said, “For the first time, Odisha has formed a BJP government. Tripura has consistently placed its faith in the BJP. Assam too has chosen the BJP in recent elections, and Bihar has recently given a mandate for a BJP–NDA government. With BJP-led good governance surrounding Bengal in all four directions, now it is Bengal’s turn to embrace sushasan.” He added, “Paltano dorkar… chai, BJP shorkar.”

Speaking on development commitments, PM Modi reiterated that the accelerated development of West Bengal is a priority for the BJP-led Central Government. Earlier in the day, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for multiple rail and infrastructure projects. Bengal also received nearly half a dozen new trains, including India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train, a Made-in-India, high-speed innovation that begins its operations from Bengal with Malda as one of its stations.

PM Modi said, “I am committed with full honesty and dedication to improving the lives of the people of Bengal. Our focus is to ensure housing for the poor, piped water for lakhs of our sisters, and free ration for all eligible beneficiaries. The benefits of Central schemes must reach every citizen.”

Calling out the TMC government, he added, “The TMC is being inhuman and ruthless by depriving the poor of their rights. Funds sent by the Centre for welfare schemes are looted by TMC workers, making them adversaries of Bengal’s poor. They have blocked Ayushman Bharat, which has provided free treatment to millions across the country. A government that denies the poor their healthcare has no right to continue.”

In Malda, he pointed out that the BJP Government at the Centre has launched the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana to provide rooftop solar benefits and reduce household electricity bills to zero. Despite thousands of crores allocated, he said the scheme is obstructed in Bengal, depriving lakhs of households of a transformative opportunity. Also, PM Modi highlighted unemployment-driven migration, neglect of silk farmers, distress among mango farmers, and lack of industrial opportunities.

Referring to corruption and mismanagement by the TMC government, PM Modi said, “The CAG findings on flood relief in Malda expose how genuine victims were denied assistance while TMC-supported individuals received relief transfers multiple times. The PM added, “A BJP government in Bengal will work to restore Malda’s historic glory, expand opportunities for our farmers and youth, and strengthen the mango economy through storage infrastructure and food processing.”

Addressing security concerns, he called infiltration a major threat for Bengal, arguing that infiltrators snatch rights, jobs and security from citizens, disrupt demographic balance and fuel crime and communal tensions. He accused the TMC ecosystem of patronising infiltrators for vote-bank benefits. He assured the people that a BJP government will take strict action against infiltration and infiltrators.

PM Modi urged voters to break this nexus and restore Bengal’s former pride through the power of a single vote. He warned that TMC’s culture of intimidation and violence is nearing its end and that governance rooted in development, dignity and security will prevail.
