At 5 PM on Saturday 6th April 2013 the BJP will hold a Karyakarta Mahasammelan at the Sardar Patel Stadium, Navrangpura in Ahmedabad. The function is being held to commemorate the 33rd foundation day of the BJP. BJP President Shri Rajnath Singh will be present at the Sammelan and will be felicitated by the Gujarat BJP. Thousands of workers from all parts of Gujarat will attend the Mahasammelan.

Shri Rajnath Singh will be welcomed at Ahmedabad airport by party workers and will be escorted to the venue of the Mahasammelan. Along with Shri Rajnath Singh, newly appointed BJP General Secretary Shri Amit Shah and newly elected Gujarat BJP Party President Shri RC Faldu will be felicitated.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi condoled the loss of lives during NIM Uttarkashi mountaineering expedition due to an avalanche. The Prime Minister remarked that rescue operations are underway and the situation is being closely monitored by the authorities.

The Prime Minister’s Office tweeted;

“It is saddening that we have lost precious lives of those associated with a NIM Uttarkashi mountaineering expedition. Condolences to the bereaved families. Rescue operations are underway and the situation is being closely monitored by the authorities.”
