Thanks for your support on SIT

Friends,

The Supreme Court appointed SIT (The special Investigating Team) and its marathon inquiry lasting till one in the morning has naturally worried you. I have, in all humility, tried to respect the law of our great land and endeavored to respect the supremacy of the law by my behavior.

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your good feelings and concerns that you showed for me during the difficult moments of yesterday. May the God, after this event, instill further strength in me.

Thank you all once again.

I would like to convey to you friends, some thoughts about our ‘Talibans of Public life’ as they are of importance to our nation. A great artist with legendry humility and even taller achievements like Shri Amitabh Bachchan who has chosen to celebrate the glorious heritage of Gujarat and her ‘asmita’ even while facing a lot of criticisms from many quarters is an inspiring matter. The love of Amitabh Bachhan for Gujarat is being dragged in to controversy. Respected Mahatma Gandhi had worked ceaselessly for the removal of untouchability from our social life during his life time. But these people, while brandishing Mahatama Gandhi’s name, are, in fact busy creating a new viciousness in the flow of our public life. The anti-Gujarat game plan behind the opposition and controversy to Shri Amitabh Bachchan stands exposed in broad daylight now. These ‘Talibans of Untouchability’ have lost all their sensibilities in their pursuit of anti-Gujarat attitudes. They may well in future tell us not to eat salt even. They may even ban the eating of Amul butter and milk and order our young people not to wear denim jeans! And guess why? Because Gujarat produces these things.

Friends, my heart is still unwilling to believe that these Talibans are unaware of the damage they are causing to this nation and to our society.

Friends, now is the time to recognize with crystal clarity these Talibans, who are busy introducing a new untouchability in our public life.

Friends, I would like to convey to these Talibans a couplet of my own poem:

The one who loves my Gujarat, Is my soul. The one who loves my India, Is my God.

Your Money, Your Right
December 10, 2025

During my speech at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit a few days ago, I shared some startling facts:

Indian banks are holding Rs. 78,000 crore of unclaimed money belonging to our own citizens.

Insurance companies have nearly Rs. 14,000 crore lying unclaimed.

Mutual fund companies have around Rs. 3,000 crore and dividends worth Rs. 9,000 crore are also unclaimed.

These facts have startled a lot of people.

Afterall, these assets represent the hard-earned savings and investments of countless families.

In order to correct this, the आपकी पूंजी, आपका अधिकार - Your Money, Your Right initiative was launched in October 2025.

The aim is to ensure every citizen can reclaim what is rightfully his or hers.

To make the process of tracing and claiming funds simple and transparent, dedicated portals have also been created. They are:

• Reserve Bank of India (RBI) – UDGAM Portal for unclaimed bank deposits & balances: https://udgam.rbi.org.in/unclaimed-deposits/#/login

• Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) – Bima Bharosa Portal for unclaimed insurance policy proceeds: https://bimabharosa.irdai.gov.in/Home/UnclaimedAmount

• Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) – MITRA Portal for unclaimed amounts in mutual funds: https://app.mfcentral.com/links/inactive-folios

• Ministry of Corporate Affairs, IEPFA Portal for Unpaid dividends & unclaimed shares: https://www.iepf.gov.in/content/iepf/global/master/Home/Home.html

I am happy to share that as of December 2025, facilitation camps have been organised in 477 districts across rural and urban India. The emphasis has been to cover remote areas.

Through the coordinated efforts of all stakeholders notably the Government, regulatory bodies, banks and other financial institutions, nearly Rs. 2,000 crore has already been returned to the rightful owners.

But we want to scale up this movement in the coming days. And, for that to happen, I request you for assistance on the following:

Check whether you or your family have unclaimed deposits, insurance proceeds, dividends or investments.

Visit the portals I have mentioned above.

Make use of facilitation camps in your district.

Act now to claim what is yours and convert a forgotten financial asset into a new opportunity. Your money is yours. Let us make sure that it finds its way back to you.

Together, let us build a transparent, financially empowered and inclusive India!
